After looking at the design I would be worried the thing would come unglued and jam the barrel.

It doesn't. The BB simply rolls through the "U". It's also flexible enough to bend to when the BB passes over it preventing jams.

Initially, you need to fit it correctly so it doesn't sit too far into the hop window. A good way to check is to put a BB in the barrel and see if it holds it, but you are still able to oh so gently push the BB through it. If it gives any resistance you did it wrong.

Ok this is being pushed through. If you want in, post in the thread on AM and drop your name. Deposits will most likely start being taken on the 4th of November. Please specify the barrel length if/when you do post in the thread!

I'm not sure why this hopup would have any better results than the current one. You could probably lift heavier bb's, but .28 seem plenty heavy enough for me in everything but a sniper.

It looks like it would be mostly useful in situations where your current hopup was not enough to lift your bb's which is why the examples seem to all use low FPS guns with heavy bb's.

I used a stock CA hop up bucking/nub in a CA SCAR that shot 275fps with .2g bb's. I used .25 for games, and would out range many high fps guns. You don't need a fancy new hop up system to get good range. You just need to find the best combination for your gun/bb.

Sounds about right.
To get longer ranges you'd have to defeat friction and gravity.

It's $45 + actual shipping, installed, if you supply all of the parts and mail them to "skag187" or something like that.

Yup. This service SUPPLIES ALL THE PARTS FOR YOU. And it's from the person who made the R-Hop ;)

Did I not clearly say that? :?

Prometheus barrel
Prometheus bucking
Cutting of window and patches
Installation
Labor and shipping.

That's what your money gets.
