If an event is for charity (something I have not seen much on here) or if it is to sponsor an organization putting on events so they can do bigger and better events, then I think additional raffle tickets should be for sale as well. The Salem Supergame paintball event raises thousands of dollars for charity with its post game raffle every year through ticket sales.
I run "Santas War" yearly - its a charity game. I'm going to try revamping part of the raffle for next year in order to try to raise more money through the raffle, for Toys for Tots, in addition to the Toys that we raise for Toys for Tots.

Also, Fred and I are working on a Charity game for this spring/summer. ;)

Alex, If you need a field to have the Charity Game(s) let me know I will let you use the ABT field, for FREE of course. You just let me know if you want to and we'll hook up to work it out. I'm all in for kids charity. C-ya

I like the idea of a fair amount of little prizes. But I think there need to be larger prizes too. Like a complete AEG with a batt, ammo, and some mags. Or with gas guns including a few cans of gas and some ammo. The smaller prizes I see that would be cool are things like ammo, T-shirts, gas, molle gear and mags. I also feel the fact that you have only one ticket per person makes it a whole lot more fair. And thus more fun for everyone. This event sounds like one that would really be worth going to, both for prizes and the fight.

I had thought of this too, but having a raffle at the end is a nice way to wind down the day...

I'd like to win a plane ticket up to Oregon in a raffle, so I could have an opinion on this subject.
