Words simply cannot change the fact that an airsoft gun is and always will be a toy

But we are shooting for as realistic as possible.

and it's still a toy ;)

Do you think saying "it's a toy" is some sort of argument against alternative capacities?

Does somebody else using a midcap lessen your experience? are there not enough games that allow highcaps for your liking?

Because both of those seem like personal matters.

Why are people hating on hicaps? Have you ever used a midcap? I have three hi caps and I want to get rid of them so that I can get more midcaps. Hicaps rattle, they will break, they feed horribly, and they are as unrealistic as possible. You can empty a midcap, give or take a few rounds, without winding in one huge burst, where as you'll be spending more time winding your hicap than you will spend firing the rounds. Get midcaps, you will not be disappointed.

Better question- why not?
People are tired of some people coming out to the games and playing Counterstrike in jeans, t shirts, and lots of hi caps. I happen to know plenty of people who enjoy playing Counterstrike when they airsoft, and for them that's enough. But for a lot of us, we want something different, something more challenging and realistic than a kid in jeans that never has to reload. Hence the games with rather arbitrary restrictions. Personally, I've wanted to see stricter games as long as I've been playing- It's a large part of the reason I stopped playing paintball. Too much shooting and not enough thinking makes any game kind of dull.

Last few games I went to that allowed Highcaps (Belligerence and Faction wars) didn't have that many kids in jeans running around. Just because some people use high caps does not mean there just some kids wanting to spray and pray. I use high caps only because I don't own any midcaps (yet) also because I would rather not walk back to the car and reload and even though I do use them I don't spray and pray. During Belligerence I used two high caps the whole game even though I carried 5 and I was not wearing a T-shirt and jeans I was wearing Camo, tact gear and what I should be wearing at a event like those.

Just because you use high caps does not mean you don't like mil sim. I like them for the fact that I don't have to leave the field to reload and just the convenience of not having to carry a lot on me. Maybe I'm the exception of the rule, but ITS POSSIBLE to use High Caps and not act like a saw gunner.

Then again the reason I'm starting to move to Midcaps now is because I like to reload under fire it gives me a rush. That and most games are starting to require midcaps/real caps only.

Don't Hesitate if you own a new model KWA that uses the 2GX system.. I was hesitant but then bought a box anyways and all of them fit! I was so happy and out of the 8 mags only one of them were kind of iffy and a little tight/snug. If you want to be an ammo whore, I suggest buying a box now and then getting another box later and carrying 16 mags XD...

For saying people who use Hi-caps and counterstrike to be related makes no sense. Counterstrike is far more realistic than COD or Battlefield when it comes to ammo/health wise since you can't miraculously recover your health after getting shot or get ammo boxes..

I'm glad It's not getting locked (yet) I've been on AP for a little over a year and this High cap topic keeping popping up and it gets locked a few pages in. Would like to see this topic play out for a bit longer. Unless it turns ugly...

Are we counting C-Mags and drum mags on say a MG36 or equivalent platform as "high caps?"
