Your xbox, your cell phone, and your clock have been proven to exist by more than word of mouth of 20+ people. They've gone through thousands of hours of testing.

Some kid telling me, "IT TOTES WORKS, DUDE!" isn't convincing. At least for adults.

Again, this is alien to this forum/community, but not to others.

It's been widely tested, widely used, and confirmed to work. Ask on AM ASF a$$ or the AS sniper pro boards (the sniper technical board). They can all vouch for it. That's why I was surprised that none of you had heard of it or tried it..

If you don't believe me test it yourself. The patches cost $12 for 3.

It's not much of an investment for the results you can get..

Oh and Evil, before you TL;DR the thread, please read the first post.. It's getting tiresome having to reference it to you. If you're just going to be an asshat, leave.

I'll admit I haven't been paying close attention to this thread, but is this getting cheaper with every post?
If we keep arguing it'll be a bitchin' deal.

Lol.. No it's $169 for:

Prometheus barrel
Prometheus bucking
ER-hop + barrel cutting
Labor + shipping.

The $12 is for the patches themselves.. If only I could get all that for $12 ;)

Obviously somebody needs to buy one, install it, and write/shoot the end all be all test guide / video to show the results of improvement over a traditional hopup. Effective Range and accuracy. Then if somebody is like "this is bullshit," hit them with the link to aforementioned article. Proof is in showing, not telling.

Completely agree. That's why I'm trying to encourage someone to fork out the $12. If I was in Oregon still, I'd just bring it to a game. Someone needs to be "that guy".

I have a KA FAL I'd like to get more range out of. That I'll be using for a trial gun. I'd mainly like to do some before and after performance reviews on a specifically sized target at set ranges. What other information would people want to see in a write up?

Childspin, now thats something that needs proof, almost as impressive range wise as badgerspin

I read this whole thread, and it's a load of crap.

Seriously, if it worked for the reasons claimed then the designer should be nominated for the Nobel Prize because it would break several laws of physics that have been proven again and again. Once a BB leaves the barrel there is no longer any force from the replica affecting it. Nothing is going to make a solid spherical object spin any differently and defeat Newtonian physics.

The problem is lack of a means to gather empirical data. Simply shooting a replica to see if it is more 'accurate', or has 'more range' is not empirical data. The human eye is one of the worst yardsticks in the world. Currently there is no means of measuring a BB's rotational speed after contact with the hop-up unit. If rotational speed could be measured and calibrated then a true side-by-side comparison could be done. How many tests are done with a Ransem Rest or similar precision accuracy test equipment? Are the quality of the items being compared truly equal? In truth, the quality control of the airsoft industry is atrocious yet we assume all items are identical.

Physics is not subject to opinion...
