Then by that logic, LRB's in classics wouldn't work either and neither would the rifling of barrels for guns that used round bullets.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGgnCEOslZM

Hitting a target 77m away with a gun shooting ~210FPS with .28's... Shooting at a target 175 feet away with my HK416 shooting 327FPS (on a stock barrel and bucking, I put in a madbull bucking and a 363mm lonex tightbore for this test because it shoots farther and faster with them in) only a couple shots in a burst of about 30 rounds would hit the target, and I had to aim high and arc the bb's. The same barrel/hopup/bucking in my M4 shooting 440 can hit the target pretty easily, though.

Edit: The G-hop is a less effective but easier to install version of the R/ER, basically.

LRB's do not add faster rotation in and of themselves.

Wrong on rifling, because the rotation is consistent and measurable against the velocity of the projectile. The object ... ball or bullet shaped... is actually pushed through the rifling, making contact its entire length. The rifling cuts into the object the entire length of barrel travel, not for 1/16" to 3/8" of an inch. The speed of rotation is thus governed by the projectile's velocity and can thus be measured consistently, accurately and without opinion.

Seriously, if it worked for the reasons claimed then the designer should be nominated for the Nobel Prize because it would break several laws of physics that have been proven again and again. Once a BB leaves the barrel there is no longer any force from the replica affecting it. Nothing is going to make a solid spherical object spin any differently and defeat Newtonian physics.

The problem is lack of a means to gather empirical data. Simply shooting a replica to see if it is more 'accurate', or has 'more range' is not empirical data. The human eye is one of the worst yardsticks in the world. Currently there is no means of measuring a BB's rotational speed after contact with the hop-up unit. If rotational speed could be measured and calibrated then a true side-by-side comparison could be done. How many tests are done with a Ransem Rest or similar precision accuracy test equipment? Are the quality of the items being compared truly equal? In truth, the quality control of the airsoft industry is atrocious yet we assume all items are identical.

Physics is not subject to opinion...

No but you're intelligence is. Bottom line is, the reasons for it's effectiveness may be off, but the design isn't. It works. Period.

Countless people have tried it. More have seen it work.

Just because it's something that isn't explained, or you don't believe, doesn't mean it isn't. If you're here to thread crap, don't. Go take it up on AM. I could get less then two shits what you think, this is a offer thread, not a physics discussion.

Again, you put the thread on a public forum. Stop being a little phony pony about it. You're not winning people over by insulting them because they're skeptical.

How dare someone question you, when you made a bunch of bold statements, and offered no proof. Cheese and rice.

I wouldn't insult people if they weren't a$$'s about it. Why not just bring up the thread on AM and ask about it rather then belligerently call it stupid with no other reason then "Lol physics says no so it's dumb" rather then trying it out and/or finding out for themselves.

Again THIS ISN'T MY IDEA. This thread is for doing a group order on the barrels. Don't come to me asking why or how it works. I just know it does. That's why I included a link to AM on there.

Why go to AM when this thread is here on AP?

Because the creator's "home" is AM.

So you're saying because it goes faster with rifling, it's "measured"?... Or that because the rifling is consistent throughout the barrel it's measurable? I don't see how that proves anything at all. LRB's are essentially the hopup making contact with the bb throughout the entire barrel.

He's not trying to win people over, and neither am I. Saying "this is all bullsh*t and doesn't work" isn't being skeptical, it's being ignorant to new ideas without even trying it.

Catch22 wrote:Why go to AM when this thread is here on AP?

Because this isn't supposed to be a thread on how it works, it is a thread showing people a place they could buy them... The people that would rather discuss how it works and why are on ASM, not AP, which is why I'm not going to bother.

People aren't being asses when they're giving a logical argument on why they doubt it. You two are being asses by just ignoring all of that and saying, "whatever, dude"

No you're being an a$$. :p

Really though, there hasn't even been a question as to if this could work it's just "Nope not possible the creator is dumb". One guy is going off babbling an entire half page about why he's good at physics and it's impossible and the other guy is trying to say it's some $12 scam.

The close mindedness of this forum disturbs me.
