2010 Alternate Calendar - Event Photos *UPDATE*

Postby graham. » Tue Oct 27, 2009 11:24 am

I'm currently talking to Matt about the 2010 Airsoft Pacific caledar. Right now it's just a "Girls with Guns" Calendar. Not exactly my first pick.

I personally would rather have a calendar with pictures from our games - partially seeing as I can admit a girl is hot, but I'm completely hetero...the other being that it would just being bleeding awesome to have our pictures of our games in a calendar.

SO!

Who else would be interested in an actual airsoft photo calendar?

Depending on the number of people, it would probably just be a Walgreens photo calendar or something of similar quality based on the amount of time available.
It would most likely be a prepay thing, as I really have little to no funds to get it made.

And I would sell them at cost. I'm not posting this as a way to get money, I just want to see a cool calendar that features the people who make this community what it is. :D

*UPDATE*

After talking to Fred, we've decided on a printer. They will be slightly more expensive than what I've suggested earlier(to the tune of $20per instead of $15), but Fred has assured me that the quality will be far superior than what I was previously considering. Also, he's worked with them before, so you know that they will be of the utmost professional quality.

I want to be able to include you guys atleast somewhat in the photo selection process and will post what the said process will be in the next couple days.

:)

I'd buy one. One calendar for the work office, another for the home office... heh heh. Maybe, if it's high resolution enough you could use a photo from the costume contest for October?

And "just" a girls and guns calendar? c'mon now, anybody can appreciate some hot guns and TnA. It's the whole reason this thread exists. ;)

Eh... Carrie, why in the world would you want to do a 2009 one?

If you're going to go to war against a major enemy, go; knock the hell out of him fast, and go in there to kill him and get it over with.

I think an AP calender should just have pictures from events that happened during that month or something like that. Costume contest winner or runner up would be awesome for October, and maybe a Santa's War pic for December... stuff like that.

Id buy one.

Depends on the TnA involved in the Girls and Guns calendar.

Some teaser pics would certainly help people decide if they want a second option.

Thanks for catching that - fixed.

And so far the general game plan would be pictures from that month, some whatever happened, others from specific games. Plan so far -

January: BSP Challenge
February: Any skirm photo (Welcome back Dmitri was the biggest one that month, but any would do).
March: Steel Talon
April: Nephilim III
May: CQC7
June: Infidel Bash
July: Any Skirm Photo
August: Grid 18:2 or Faction Wars 2.0
September: Night pt. 2 or any skrim
October: Faction Wars 2.1 or Costume Contest winner

November: would be either from this year or last year, depending on when it gets put together

December: Santa Wars III - from 2008, as I would like to get it done before or right after the end of the year.

A few other things to keep in mind:

- Ask the photographers permission to use the photos
- Ask the people in the photos permission to be printed
- Make sure to get a high resolution copy of the photo for print. Anything that is not available in a decent resolution should not be considered, because it'll look like crap otherwise.
