0.20 In Springers

Postby k3gn3123512 » Wed Jan 06, 2010 4:18 pm

My mom orderd something from AMazon and to get the Free shipping she needed an extra item of 5 bucks for free shipping. So i got myself some cheap o BB's for my springer. After we ordered i noticed the BB's were 0.20's. Their shitty ones so i cant use them in my AEG. Would it do any damage in using them in my Springer?

Well depending on the brand, .20 shouldn't matter, only .12 should matter in your gun. What brand of .20 are there?

SoftAir (Or some shit like that)

And the springer is a

It would be a real waste if they would damage my gun. I had some DE springers before that worked just fine with 0.30 P-Force (Dont even ask why i have 0.30)

Don't think that it would hurt it, not unles you can put them through it very fast. You should be careful if you shot it and don't think a bb came out as if they are real cheap the bb might have split in half or may not be round and could jam up the weapon.

DO NOT use cheapo bbs in your AEG. NO. Not even for one or two shots. A fragment could enter the gearbox and royally screw many things.

You should probably be fine with the springer though.

I've used all kinds of .2g BBs in my AEGs from the type that you get at Walmart to the type you pay $30 for 3500 @ Airsoft Extreme. As long as they're .2g (or heavier) and the surface of the BBs don't look like a rock I'll use them in my AEGs.

Risk what?
It's not like plastic BBs can scratch a metal barrel.

Some barrels have a teflon coated inner. BBs rarely shred unless you're running a very hot spring

I wouldn't waste money on fancy bb's for a springer, you should be good with whatever crap they have in your local sporting goods store

I really doubt plastic BBs can scrap the most slippery substance in the world, Teflon off of a barrel.

The weight of the BBs is irrelevant to whether or not they'll cause damage to a replica. If the surface is smooth, spherical, and the BBs aren't frail, you're good to go.

However if the BBs are poor in regards to those characteristic, heavier BBs do have the potential to cause more damage.

They can if they burst into pieces... as I said, its rare, but it can happen
