i found that the testing done for your BB's vs. mesh was flawed. you were shooting the mesh at point blank with a HARD surface as a backstop.

i dont know many players that have a face that is as hard as a table #1, #2 noone takes shots AT POINT BLANK RANGE with the muzzle right up on the mesh.

i garentee that if you did the same tests with te same BB's from 10 ft or even 5 feet away and put the mesh onto a hatstand or a maniquin head, your results would not be the same whatsoever.

in your next issue, try to stay away from your "mythbusters" type articles. unless you are actually trying to prove something of VALUE.

That was a worse case scenario type article.

I agree that changing the way it is done would change the results and that is something I may put to the test in a future article if I can acquire the different brands of BB and different mesh goggles to test.

I was thinking of doing a follow up on that with a fixed gun position and 10' of range to show the differences, plus test say the top 10 brands of BB used today including the bios.

My plan was to use a foam head with black tape replaced after each set of rounds under the goggles over the eyes and to fire 5 rounds in semi and 5 rounds in full auto for each brand of BB.

I feel that it would give it a more realistic field test than a static one as that article portrayed. I hope as future issues come out that I will start to gather the resources to do more true style of field testing of some of the common myths than some of the testing I have seen.

Ka-Bar I appreciate the feedback it will only help improve the publication over time.

There are so, so many things wrong in that picture...

I could write an essay on just how many there are.

You should interview Eudorus as a player. I don't know how much of what he's done can be said in an interview as per British Special Operations rules, but he was shot in the face with an RPG.

I find *nothing* wrong with that picture, though he has some preferences in weapons I disagree with on an aesthetic level.

continuity is very important when building a recognizable brand name item, like your handbook.

in your first issue you have a very traditional magazine type header and layout.

you newest issue resembles nothing like the first one. inconsistancy is where you loose brand recognition.

find a cover header and footer, and stick with it.

That's more what I meant to say. I HATE with a burning passion AK/M4 mags, and I may be wrong, but I don't think that's usually where an AFG goes, among other things...

And also, as far as trigger finger discipline and eye protection is concerned, I think John Moses Browning has a thing or two to say.

Thanks Ka-Bar at least you are still on subject....

This is just a pre release cover still hammering out what the final cover will look like and once that is done I will change the cover on the 1st issue to match. Wasn't happy with it not super happy with this one either but it was something to throw up.

So after much piddling decided to drop back to the format of the original one...

This is still pre release so nothing on it is final I still have 3 events between now and when this comes out that I might change the cover image.
