My mags feed like ****, any solutions?

Postby Patrick750 » Sun Feb 20, 2011 10:53 pm

They are all Classic Army mags, the same ones that keep breaking on me are now not feeding. They would fire a bb every 10th trigger pull. My guess is that i've been leaving them loaded and putting tension on the spring. Is this reversable or should i just get new mags? Any suggestions on new mags?

P.S. i KNOW its my mags because after borrowing some neato PMAG it fed flawlessly.

Take the spring out and lube it up or get new mags. I recommend G&P ones.

Generally, mags that keep breaking also stop feeding.

As above, buy better mags. Sounds like you already found ones you like.

Hype: Stop fuckin' posting. You offer no useful info at all.

Patrick: What League4 advised, lubing them will work, once you've done that remember to feed, unfeed, feed, unfeed, feed, and then unfeed them a few times to break them in, midcaps' springs are a bit stiff at first, and it'll take a few run throughs for them to start really working right. Sort of like a Dees barrel, just be sure to break them in and lube them before use! My Classic Army metals work perfectly with my Classic Army. Classic Army Classic Army Classic Army Classic Army.

usually i'm down for repairs like that but half of them are either chipped or held together with tape. I might buy some G&P mags. G&P G&P G&P G&P G&P

Your mags are broken externally...?

Jesus man, put that in your original post, damn. Yeah, get new mags, and don't leave mids loaded for weeks on end.

that was the problem. I unloaded them and the bb's just rolled out of the mag with little to no help from the spring on the inside.
