NW Airsoft Association

OK, I know I have been talking a lot about having an airsoft league. Well its almost finished, and just about ready to summit to the legislature for the registrations. I know you guys don't like the idea, but some on here do. I need 8 more board members, and 27 volunteers for leaders.

Its time to change airsoft for the better. Who's in?

Board members.
Must be over 18 for legal purposes, and you must be a respectable member of society. I don't care if your AP post count is 5000, I just want volunteers that actually want to change all this arguing about all that's broken, and you want to have more organized games, better game play, discounts on merchandise, so on so on.

Game play leaders.
Remember this is a Volunteer position. The commitment is fairly large, and only on the weekends. No more then 8 days in 3 months, but you must be willing to commit to everyone, unless there is a substantial change in circumstances in which you need to step down. You also must be in the age group assigned to you. No 40 y/o yelling at a 15 y/o. I just want to make sure your committed.

Age Groups:

Pit Bulls- Ages 13-15
Devils- Ages 16-17
Silver backs- Ages 18-30
OGRES- Ages 30+

League Leaders
Alpha Company CO:
1st Plt Commander (Pit bulls)
1st Plt Sergeant (Pit bulls)
2nd Plt Commander (Devils)
2nd Plt Sergeant (Devils)
3rd Plt Commander (Silver backs)
3rd Plt Sergeant (Silver backs)
4th Plt Commander (OGRE’s)
4th Plt Sergeant (OGRE’s)
Bravo Company CO:
1st Plt Commander (Pit bulls)
1st Plt Sergeant (Pit bulls)
2nd Plt Commander (Devils)
2nd Plt Sergeant (Devils)
3rd Plt Commander (Silver backs)
3rd Plt Sergeant (Silver backs)
4th Plt Commander (OGRE’s)
4th Plt Sergeant (OGRE’s)
Charlie Company CO:
1st Plt Commander (Pit bulls)
1st Plt Sergeant (Pit bulls)
2nd Plt Commander (Devils)
2nd Plt Sergeant (Devils)
3rd Plt Commander (Silver backs)
3rd Plt Sergeant (Silver backs)
4th Plt Commander (OGRE’s)
4th Plt Sergeant (OGRE’s)

Disclaimer:

I don't care about your opinions of having a league. That is in other threads. I just want to know who is ready to step up and help make this work. I cant have a league all by myself and I guarantee you we can solve all the issues discussed in other threads by forming this association. Plus there will be great benefits from being apart of it.

Sound of in this thread if you are ***Committed*** to this. If not, please don't share your opinions.

The bylaws, rules, mission statement, and about 10 other pages have already been drafted. I will post all of it tonight. This has been in the works for over a year, not 5 min. Please be patient until I post some of the details.

Thanks

Slight mishap while splitting the topic. Here are the people that said they'd like to join

But i'm not going to be 15 for long (early september) so i'm also interested in leading the other age group.

I do like the idea of many teams working together to make airsoft in the area move forward. Please PM me the extra information as you make it available.

If this is the route that this community chooses to organize itself, I'll support it. In fact, you can put me on the board. But I will be the liberal voice on it.

Im not sure the age is the big thing, im new to airsoft but im enjoying the different people that i have played with, this last weekend was the camp R&R game; i had a lot of fun playing with a huge age group. i guess i would just like more info about the age groups, and how they would work together because I love learning and putting the knowledge of the older players to use. The main idea for me is to not lose the knowledge of the older players by not maxing the age groups. also i like to see the younger ages learning the right way to play from the experienced players. So if you can full me in on the way this would play out in field on the game day?

I'm not sure I understand the premise of this proposed league. What is it and what are we hoping to accomplish through it?
I'm a "fair weather" airsofter. I only play in the pouring rain, freezing cold, or broiling heat.

Another thing I'd really think would help is if the league's bare bones requirements included the need for each team that joins to have a tan/brown and a green/dark colored uniform, so that deciding teams would be much easier. Much like a sports team with a home and away jersey.

In my experience, that would be enough, since Multicam and DCU in mud look similar, and MARPAT and woodland look the same as well. If every team had two uniform patterns, then platoons would be able to form up around who they like playing with/against and if teams needed tweaked to keep it competitive, as opposed to just bunching everyone with Tigerstripe together.

I'm interested in more information and will contribute what I can, time and skills permitting.

I would like to see this merge with the ideas being discussed in http://airsoftpacific.com/viewtopic.php?p=605247#605247 by rick, matt, chef, et al.

I remember the last time people on AP formed a league. I'll believe this is a good idea when I see it working, regardless of whether or not you want my opinion.
