Medal Rank vs Your Team Name

Postby Matt » Tue Dec 12, 2006 5:37 pm

I'm trying to see if anybody here really cares about the post count ranking system or not. I'm thinking about only keeping it around for the non-team people and replacing the rank with your team's name.

Instead of saying:
Joe Airsoft
Ranger
(3 medals)

It would say:
Joe Airsoft
Team T.A.R.D.

The post count number would still be there. As a team leader, you would have 100% control over the usergroup so that only people who really are on your team would be able to have the ranking say your team's name.

So, mine would be:

I'd say leave it the way it is, as not everyone is affiliated with a team on AP, so a lot of people would feel left out.

I don't have a team, but I think it would look cool to have everyones team name above their avatar. A little team pride.

I say team name, since the medals don't mean anything anyways. :)

Since it is three lines right now, you could make Your Name, Team Name, -grunt/soldier/ranger- Still three lines. But I like the team idea.

Go with Team Names. Anyone without a team can be either "Looking for Team" or "Unaffiliated". I think some of the problem with a couple of the new posters is that they want to get their post count up and medal count so that they look more "mature" or "experianced" or whatever.

Team names is better over all.

I think we should be able to have our own titles; other forums I browse allow this and it's great. As far as team names: meh, that's what the sig bar is for.
