Not to be nitpicky or anything...

These guys look like Gebirsjaegers to me: http://www.geocities.com/ss_pskg_weiche ... arshes.jpg

And the filename confirms it.

Still a cool photo, but the GJ has different gear than the SS. Notice the M43 type hat with a shorter brim? And the anorak? Those were both GJ items.

Wikipedia wrote:In military history and military slang, the German term Kampfgruppe (pl. Kampfgruppen; abbrev. KG) can refer to a flexible combat formation of any kind, but most usually to that employed by the German army and its allies during World War II and, to a lesser extent, in World War I.

Nature
The Kampfgruppe was an ad-hoc combined arms formation, usually employing combination of tanks, infantry, anti-tank weapons and artillery components, generally organised for a particular task or operation. A Kampfgruppe could range in size from a corps to a company , but most common was an Abteilung (battalion)-sized formation. Kampfgruppen were generally referred to by either their commanding officer or the parent division.
The beauty of being a Fictional Kampfgruppe.

Who knows, Hauptsturmfuhrer Weicheluft might have some Gebirgjager's from 6th SS in the Kampfgruppe ;)

because we lack a forum, I've set up a yahoo group. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SS-PSKG-Weicheluft (until we're either able to set up our own forum, or someone is able to hook us up, this is just going to have to do).

I'll be starting to organize group-buy's on equipment, and discussion of conversion of rifles, and all the other fun stuff.

:-D

EDIT: The Yahoo Group is now in-active. tool has hooked us up with a private forum. For access, Please PM me.

[teasing]

So, I was at the flea market this weekend, and I heard this guy go "Hagel Hitler!"

I looked around, and saw this man who was arguing with someone else about the price. As the someone-else turned around, I realized . . . he had been Haggling with Hitler.
