For what it's worth, CCW is going to be building either a GBB or AEG PPSH. I should have it on the market within a year... unless someone wants to order one and can pony up the $500 or so I figure it will cost to build.

From what I understand of the PPsH, is was quite the bullet hose. Good ammo capacity, rugged, and reliable, like most things Russian. The main problem is that apparently it has quite the muzzle creep. Even a short burst will make the muzzle steadily buck upwards. Holding it steady was a major feat, but the Red Army got good at it, I undertand.
Still, all in all, and impressive weapon. It'll be cool to see the PPSH you provide, Casca. 8)

My grandfather carried one after he was assigned to a Katyusha Regiment around 1943. It was the only thing he missed about Russia or europe.

From the research that I have done, the PPsH held 71 rounds of pistol ammo, and there was little muzzle creep. You could fire off all 71 rounds, and it climbed only a couple of millimetres. I forgot the real number, but it wasnt much.

As for the bullet hose, why do you think germany learned to run away?

russian winter, fighting a full scale war on two fronts, diminishing supplies, crazy hitler. The german retreat has little to do with the PPSH's rate of fire.

Hell . . . . How many PPSH's were used by the Germans?

;) Lots. So many that a 9mm conversion kit was even developed. As to the Germans 'Running Away', I think someone needs to read 'Forgotten Soldier' by Guy Sager. I don't think the Russians would call what the Germans did 'running away'. Go ahead and do some research about the battles on the Russian front - I think you'll find that it was an absolute blood bath. Entire villages wiped off the map. Divisions fighting to the last man, to hold back the Russian Horde.
