Ok, so, being as I am one of three that the cadre had the pleasure of seeing not once, not twice, but three times (beginning class, our team's class, and the intermediate/advanced class) I can certainly say that it was a huge learning experience.
When we ran the beginner's class yesterday, we were learning the basics of movement and flow within the upper floor. Getting everyone to that hall and making entry into the other two rooms (plus the bathroom). We weren't the most organized bunch to begin with, but we managed, and by the end of it, we were getting the hang of things. The actors even through in some curves, like nic hiding behind the couch, tweaking on over to one of our operators with a glock in the back of his pants.
Our team's experience was very much that, our team rocking it. We had a couple newer people on board that hadn't run CQC prior, so we all had our own hurdles to overcome, and our fair share of jumping jacks to do. We breached both the upstairs and downstairs, hitting from the front and back, over, and over, and over, and over (I could go on). However, even with all that experience running through that house, my thirst for CQC knowledge was not satisfied (or perhaps it's my masochistic nature), so we came back a few hours later for the advanced course.
The advanced course had it's own challenges, such as I am betting one of the first contacts to be made outside (backyard), and locked doors

We got yelled at, some more, and got to do more jumping jacks, after Bill lost one of his best friends down south.
Over all, I feel I have cheated the coordinators out of their time for the price paid, as the information and skills given were easily worth twice as much. Thanks to everyone that participated, especially the actors. Having to endure being groped and shot for two days with nothing but pizza as payment is definitely remarkable, and it really couldn't happen without you guys (and ladies). The cadre were awesome, Postman really hammered us, and made it real. You have to be held accountable, and short of people losing their lives or getting jail sentences, Matt really does that well. Bill was very much the balancing force there, he wasn't nice, he simply told us what we did well on, and what we needed work on, Matt made us eat dirt and jump.
Again, thank you all for your donation of time and energy that you put into setting up and running this event
