From 5 feet away, shooting someone in the face is poor judgment. At that distance, (and I'll make up a statistic here) 90% of the time you have the option to shoot them pretty much anywhere else. At 6-10 feet away I can shoot a spider off Junto's back (it happened), if someone's claiming bad aim at that distance, I'll agree that they need to not play airsoft. I agree that a safety kill is preferable to the receiving party rather than getting blasted in the face from that close a distance.
I don't think this constitutes a mandatory safety kill rule from 25 feet at all times, though. I think it means use your goddamn head and have a little bit of aim. If you can get 5 feet away from your opponent, it means you have had plenty of time up until that point to decide where to place your shot and aim for it.
