Great game guys. I am definitely sore as hell from all that running around. My camera is about as heavy as most AEGs and I spent the entire day running through the front lines getting great footage of you guys kicking a$$. I was covering the US side, with Bigfoot on the Cartel. The US/Brazil team really did put in a great effort, aside from the fact that Cartel was the clear victor. Both teams fought hard!
tool - we really enjoyed your crown royal. If you ever want to come out to an event again, bring lots of hard alcohol and then leave it out for us when you go to bed at 9 o clock... You're more than welcome! It's just too bad you didn't stay up long enough to see what an a$$ I was being. I'm sure you could hear me. I kinda feel bad for killing off your booze, but then again, I kinda don't.. hahahaha!
I'm super happy I won that Echo1 Master Series MP5, that thing is dead sexy. What a reward for shooting video at an event, at the challenge I won a bag of BBs. Somebody said, "what do you need those for, you don't even have a gun!" Well, I have 3 now! I've been thinking about setting up a combat photographer/video kit so I can actually run with a team while armed with a camera and a weapon but I needed a perfect compact weapon system for the job. The Master Series, with it's swappable 400fps outdoor gearbox would be perfect for that. I saw that it was from
AONW, so if Ben is reading this, thanks for contributing to the raffle. AONW always puts up the coolest prizes for local events!
As for the issues I saw at the game, some of the same old stuff. Not knowing who's dead, medics running around tagging people in and people who get confused because they think those medic'd people are cheating, etc. I've always supported the idea of making death rags mandatory. The medic system seems like it needs some work. I witnessed a lot of medics running up and slapping bandaids on people as it it were a driveby medical procedure. The idea behind the bandaids was that you get to your patient FIRST, THEN you get the bandaid out of your kit, open the wrapper, apply it to the patient... So that it actually TAKES TIME to do it, but it never seems to work out that way.
Anyway - had a great time. On one hand, I still look forward to the next event at SplatAction, but on the other hand I'm also glad we have some other outdoor options on the horizon for this Summer.
