Smoke grenades are still up in the air. The field owner requires that an admin be near the smoke grenade to monitor the potential of fire, and to pick it up after it extinguishes. I feel that this could potentially give away YOUR position by having an admin in such close proximity. However, if the general consensus from the player base is that this won't affect them, I will allow them (if I have enough admin coverage).

And why would you use less then lethal force? You don't get any points for leaving your target alive. And if you LTL'd a guard, they'd still be able to come after you....

Its just a plan I am thinking of. Also I can get non flammable smoke grenades that cannot start a fire. Can I use those without supervision?

Also what are your thoughts on throwing projectiles such as foam ninja stars?
My sword runs at 450 FPS, try to out run that! 35+ Sword/Knife Kills and counting.

No thrown weapons (throwing knives, ninja stars,...)

I'll talk to Ivan (the field owner) what his feelings are on those grenades. If you could bring one to an event before hand and demo it for me, that would be even better.

I would be fine with it if I saw a demo.
If we are doing this in the CQC area it wouldn't be hard to saturate the area with admins.

Sorry, my post was a little misleading. SMG's will earn the same points as a rifle.

Rifles (AEG's, GBBR, possibly bolts)= 5 points

Pistols (GBB, AEP, Springers)= 10 points

Knife/Contact Kill= 15 points

Again, this is to do with range to the target. Rifles outrange pistols, and well, we all know how close you have to be to get a knife/contact kill.

Example of the scoring system:
I use my P226 to kill my target and make it to the extraction point at 38 min 45 seconds, I earn 10+7.25=17.25 points

Darius uses a knife to kill his target but takes 42min flat to get to the extraction point, he gets 15+ 3=18 points.

Darius would be the winner. Again, you have 45min to complete the objective. Your actual time will be subtracted from 45 to get the amount of time points.

So a behemoth sexy monster who can run 4 minute miles and carries an M134 minigun can just run in, blast everything and get out and win due to getting the kill in 8 minutes flat?

Darius, while that goes against the spirit of the competition, it fits in the law of the competition. However, I will do my hardest to ensure that this won't happen. Plus, I can not find any information regarding a hand-held minigun in real world application, and therefore it would fall into a "mounted" weapon platform, and would be disqualified from use.

I saw a documentary about the Special Forces where one of them had a minigun. It was Sergeant Jesse the Body Ventura.

Alright folks, I hate to do this to everyone. We are going to push this back into January. I haven't had a chance to get to the field yet to plan out the things that need to be planned out, and that little thing called schooling is sucking up more of my time then I'd like.

We will still be running the skirmish, $5 to play. These monies will be going to field to help facilitate the next level of games that will be going on there. I'm sorry if this dissapoints anyone, but this will allow me more time to lock in the details, set up the field, get more sponsors onboard, and generally improve the idea. I'd rather postpone then host a halfassed game.

ONCE AGAIN THERE WILL STILL BE A SKIRMISH ON NOVEMBER 7TH IN SILVERTON.

As many of you know we have lost the things that make the CQC area fun.
We are trying to make money to make it enjoyable again, as well as improve the forest area.

We will be running some different game types. VIP/assassination, capture the flag, plant a flag, death match, and any other types people want to play. Remember, this is just an informal skirm meant to drum up some funds to improve the field.

If you have any suggestions for game types that you would like to see, go ahead and PM me. I'll see if we can fit them in.
