M249 Barrel issues

Postby Sodak » Tue Dec 21, 2010 10:23 pm

So i just purchased an IU-A&K M249. I released the barrel to clean it and now when i try to put the barrel back in its not going in far enough for the clip or whatever its called, to roll in front of it to lock it in place. Any suggestions?

The QC was so poor on one of mine I had to get the barrel in as far as I could then put the barrel on the ground and push down on it while standing it upright if that makes sense. IIRC, there might be a couple allen keys that need loosening to help put the barrel back in.

Can you drill the hole bigger without messing up the threads?
