Complete Loadout for one low(ish) price.

Was scowering the net for a specific gun and I came across this.

Sure it's not the best gear in the world but for someone who's just starting out I think it could be a great resource.

What do you guys think?

I know that but for a noob just getting into the sport they can get a total load out with spending too much money.

I wasn't saying I wanted it I was simply pointing out that to get a complete look almost head to toe the link I posted isn't a bad deal for a noob.

In all honesty, ALICE gear is the best tactical gear for the money. It holds the bare minimum, is very durable, and is cheap as dirt- less than 40$ for a complete setup. It just doesn't have the cool factor of a plate carrier or other vest.

I suppose it just depends on the person. Most of my team used ALICE gear or simple chest rigs because of their economic viability.

I have the Condor plate carrier they show and have no idea how they got 4 mag pouches in the front. It's possible, but I can't imagine the horror of a noob trying to weave that through.

Normally it isn't a problem to, but I have known several people who had Condor gear with bad quality control, usually consisting of an unevenly spaced out stitch in the webbing, making it near impossible to weave.

I've had this problem with mine, it takes a little wrestling to get pouches to weave on properly. But on the flip side, they never come off by themselves.

It is excellent stuff, but a tad pricier than many can afford.

Go with surplus. It doesn't necessarily have to be ALICE. For example, if you're running an AK, the East German raindrop camo pouches are fantastic for AK magazines, while you can find a whole Pattern 58 setup for a 7.62mm rifle like a FAL, G3 or M14 for dirt cheap as well. Surplus is going to be of higher quality than Condor and it's going to be a lot cheaper. Oh, and if you want to you can set up a classic loadout for quite cheap, then not only have an incredibly functional setup (and far more lightweight loadout than a modern one) but also you can be that unique snowflake everyone wants to be. How many times have you seen a full East German border guard setup? Guess what: it's cheap.
