Batteries... Why so large?

Very valid point Ivan. I try to avoid justifying myself in spending extra though, cuz I always do it when I tell myself it's a better deal. Like my Mom: should we get your little sister an 8GB iPod for Christmas? It's only like $40 more.. Me: no, she only has like 68 songs and only ever will. The $40 is a waste.

And I find spacing to be an issue. What gun you run?
And yeah in the original post, I think I did disclaim about how it's nice to have more than you need. But dont you think if 4000mah is 40 100rnd midcaps that's exorbitant? Like the iPod situation...

I use lipos and big batteries because I don't ever want to worry about conserving my shots because of a battery when in a milsim game i should be conserving shots because of ammo depletion.

I run AKs. Battery fits in the stock. Running a smaller battery would mean rattling in the stock.
I understand you point on pricing though.
Don't think of it as I'm shooting 4K rounds a game. Think of it as I can play two games where I fire 2K rounds or even 4 games at 1K.

It's not like I don't use that extra capacitance. For the most part I only charge my battery before big games. Don't need to plan much for skirms. it's nice.

Do you pack around lead weights equivalent to all the ammo you go through? That would help you conserve shots.

Maybe their FNC. Among other things. I reccomend their M4 to beginners since it's so cheap and such nice quality.
Yeah, so.. What would you do in my situation? With guns (M4 w/o rails & Type 97) that dont have internal space? Haha I use small LiPos.. Only choice really right? Just an argument of how many a person needs... And that's how we got here..

Yeah, I love my G&G AK.
Also have a TM, RS, and Cyma.

Two of my AKs use stick types as well as my Sig. I have back up batteries in a spawn bag in case I need them.

Those are great brands. I cant love on RS enough, theyre just great. It makes me feel bad, bragging over them so much. but you get the brutish internal durability of a KWA, the accuracy of a Marui, and basically the externals of an actual gun.
Well I wont say that about the Cyma, but I've heard good things about em anyways. Never really experienced Cyma. You could add DBoys (I would prefer over Cyma personally) and VFC to have AK47 perfection.
I've thought of having a spawn bag. I wouldnt suspect anyone in the community of stealing, but I'm sort of a paranoid person.

I run nimh 9.6v 5000mah on my m4s. I think its because i'm lazy and I don't have to charge my battery for a month or more. The thing is a brick but I know I can go to a two-three day event and not have an issue about power if I charged it before hand.

I've popped in a friends nimh 9.6v 2200mah that I charged and used to test fire the night before. By the time it was game time I didn't even make it through a mid cap before i saw a performance drop.

why would that help me conserve shots?
anways if you get a lipo you get lots of power in a small package. and they only take like an hour to charge

Well I was just mocking you, sorry.. It seemed to me a little crazy to talk about milsim and how you should be worried about ammo depletion, so I was thinking if you packed all the weight associated with actual ammo then you'd have incentive to conserve shots. And that would be more realistic than saying a big battery adds realism. Crazy train of though I have.

I used to use a 3500mAh 8.4v NiMh in my E1 mp5 with a full stock, it fit tight and the rate of fire was better than a 1800mAh 8.4v batt and lasts longer, I use a 500rd highcap. When I had my ICS L86a2 I had 2 1600mAh 7.4v LiPo's in the front grip, I only used one at a time but when they were both in there they didn't rattle at all and couldn't get lost/damaged. The L86 used ammo like no tomorrow so i would switch the batts at lunch break at games to be sure i didn't over drain the Lipo's. Now I use 2 1000mAh LiPo's in a compact E1 PEQ box that came with a 11.1 LiPo (i dont like 11.1 lipos) the 7.4v LiPos are hooked up in parallel to produce 2000mAh at 7.4v. I use the custom peq box on my E1 mp5 master series with rails and no stock. I notice a much higher rof using both batteries in the peq over using one.
