6.01 Madbull 7075 aircraft aluminum barrel

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this series of barrel-6.01 Madbull 7075 aircraft aluminum barrel. Looking at getting a LB conversion for my sig 552 and running a 455mm barrel in it. Any reccomendations would also be helpful, but most iterested in reviews of this particular barrel. Thanks!

I own a couple. They're on par with the other 6.01 barrels I've used. You won't notice a difference unless you also use high quality BBs.

7075 aluminium is an aluminium alloy with zinc added for hardness, so it's very strong. Ironically Madbul saying it's "aircraft aluminum" is a bit of a misnomer as 2024 aluminium alloy is what 95% of airplanes are made with.

Non the less think about this unless they changed the outer diameter of the barrel compared to their "normal" barrels I see no point of paying the extra cost for 7075 aluminium, it's not like a barrel needs to hold the weight of the gun.

Scratch resistance, though, is not a bad thing.

According to Evike, other Madbull barrels are also made out of the same alloy, "aircraft aluminum" is just not in the name or marketing.

careful what AONW bb's your using. I heard they had to recently recall again a portion of their imported ammo due to it not being safe for aeg use. This is now twice that's happened. Don't know all the details are but you might want to call them and see if the ammo you have is part of that recall.

When I use the word recall, I don't mean they pulled it off the shelf. They just threw it in a box and marked it for something like $8 per bag but has a label "not safe for AEG use" on the outside

Just call them and check especially since your going to run a 6.01mm barrel

Whatever is sold in the black bags which I think are BIO. The best way to find out is to call and ask.

odd sizing or particles in the bag would be my guess.
