Sir, I would check any Home Depot store. I have bought a can of Rustoleum "Tan" that ends up looking like FDE when a double coat is applied. It doesn't flake and is nice and dull. As usual, the spray tips are less than quality.

I tried to match Magpul's FDE on a project. I got pretty close(depending on lighting). I used a combination of

Dark Taupe &
Oregano
both are rustoleum painter's choice both are at Home Depo.

I used more of the taupe than the oregano. Spray on the taupe say 6 passes then 2 of oregano immediately so that the colors mix a little before drying. If you do this process you'll have to use your own discretion and 'Eye' to get the deired result. If it is on metal you can heat treat it in the oven and I understand it gets even closer to true FDE.

I just use the Camo colors that are produced by Krylon. They work like a charm and have a good tone, I can post pictures of my AUG if nessecary... But I don't think they are going to have the right color for you.

I used the dark taupe by rustoleum, I couldnt find any besides satin style, so I just used a matte finish and it helped dull it a little. Like that guy said though using some oregano would prolly help too
