VFC MK17 not feeding

Postby pseudoanimosity » Sun Apr 24, 2011 11:48 am

I'm having trouble with my VFC MK17 not feeding properly. When I shoot, the BBs just dribble out the barrel for the first 50 shots, then start shooting normally. I am using the VFC Midcaps, what could cause this?

How would I fix it? Isn't the hop-up proprietary?

Not really, no. Replacing the chamber would probably do nothing, unless something on it is broken, which I doubt.

OP, what happened when this started to occur? Did you change a part? Gun fell in water? If nothing specific happened check the bucking for rips and if you're comfortable, check the gearbox and see if everything is okay in there because something like the piston head might have came loose and be giving horrible compression... Doubtful, but possible.

It has done this since the beginning, and I've already ripped apart the gearbox looking for problems and such. What's weird is it feeds perfectly for the last half of the mag, but the first half doesn't feed worth crap.

Wow. I have never had a problem with my SCARs hop up. I never knew that they were bad. I actually thought it was one of the better hop ups i have used (compared to KWA/E1/JG and G&G)

Is this for older or newer VFC hop up?

i believe it is the older one. Would upgrading to the newer generation make a difference?
