Hop-up not working =/

During summer slaughter, I noticed that the range on my G&G gr-16(carbine blowback) started to absolutely suck. after like 80-100 feet, the bb would plummet to the ground incredibly fast. I tried adjusting my hop-up but it made no difference. I then left the game and took my barrel/hop-up unit out and tried to see what was wrong(nothing) so I took it apart then put it back together, put it in my gun then went to the test range. Nothing changed. I have tried many people but they couldn't find the problem. Can any of you guys help out?

Does your adjustment wheel still function (move the arm)?

Do you use silicon lube? if so, wash the bucking using soap.

your bbs shooting from 80-100 feet seems about right for the GR-16 unless you did some modifications
try playing around with different weights of the bbs and see what happens

I've seen stock ones shoot farther...

OP, when you push down on the arm from the top, does the mound in the bucking go down as well? If you turn the wheel without pushing on the arm, does it do the same thing? Do you have any buckings you can put in to see if that's the problem?

Alpha, there's two rubber pieces. One is the actual bucking. The other is the little tiny rubber cylinder. It looks like wire insulation.

You can usually tell if it's in place by following League 4's directions. Push down the top of the hop-up arm (or turn up the dial) and look in the back of the barrel. You should see the top of the bucking press down into the barrel space.

If you can't see it press in, then you've either got it installed incorrectly, or the little nub is missing altogether.
