higher performance = quicker wear
How to prevent wear and tear on your AEG? don't use it.

MOSFET stands for "metal–oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistor" often used for amplifying or switching electronic signals

i take it you didn't even bother reading the stickies and forum rules

I would suggest using just a 9.6v Ni-Mh battery. Li-po ruined my G&G

Wrong.

OP, long story short, a MOSFET redirects the current from the trigger contacts preventing them from wearing out when using a high voltage battery. They are not necessary, but they are very nice to have and very cheap. I suggest a 7.4v lipo for you that is the size of or smaller than a mini type battery.

On a side note, since hunterseeker armory discontinued their amazing 'fet, I'd suggest an extreme-fire SW-S. Basic set up, that'll run you about 20 bucks. Very nice to have if you are using a LiPo and it helps out your trigger response
