if i bought a matrix m4 gearbox (rear wired) and put my mp5 selector switch on it, will it work in my mp5? (echo1 task force mp5a4)

You could, but I wouldn't recommend it. There is a different trigger, and I think some slight variants between the Matrix M4 box and an MP5 box.

Also, a Matrix gearbox? Ew...

No. There are some differences between the 2. Version 2 parts WORK IN an MP5, but a complete M5 gearbox will not work in an MP5.

V2 = V2. It will fit, but it won't work.

You need to change some of the parts that are specific to the make of the gun. Air nozzle, selector switch, and cylinder to name a few..

Better off to just buy an MP5 IMHO.

If you use the MP5's nozzle, trigger, selector plate, and possibly the wiring it should work fine.
