If it hasn't been said, the M14 will run up to a 509mm barrel. I would recommend a 6.03 for consistent accuracy. It'll be better than the stock barrel if you get a quality one.

The thing is that G&G supposedly puts in a 6.03 tightbore in it, but the barrel length is 520mm and I cant find a barrel that isn't specialized for the G&G/CA m14s. I could order one of those, but they are very expensive and there is no 6.03. The bbs are pretty accurate, I just need to fix the hop up and squeeze some more fps out of the gun.
As always thanks for the help

Yes, there is a black one and a red one. I plug in my battery and get around 18rnds per second at 350fps on a stock gun. Shoots out to 200ft easily.
It's an m14, i'm not looking for 35 rnds per second, nor am i looking for a hair trigger on an airsoft gun. I have other guns that have smaller wires in it that have lasted 80k round so far with no troubles.
Like i said, if your running a 9.6v or 8.4v battery, no worries. Worry about it when/if it fails.
I would by far look to change the bucking/nub and airseal stuff way before i changed out the wires.

Cloudyrains wrote:Hey, just got back from installing the hopup. Took a while (first time installing a hopup) but I managed to get it on and situated right without ripping it. I had to remove the pin for the arm to install the nub, but it didn't take too much hassle. I test fired it a little today and BB's are still curving after about 40 feet. Granted I only have .20 inch at home, so its possible there was a little consistent wind blowing them off course. The other problem is is that the hop-up is waaaay too effective. I can turn it on just a tiny bit and the bb's go flying upward after about 7 feet.
Anyways, what can I do to fix it? Is it because of the barrel? Does it sound like the hopup isn't installed right? Is it entirely unrelated?

rbm33 wrote:I use riddicks .28 bios in all my guns, they work great. You may need to change the nub to stop it from curving.

Okay, I bet an h-nub would offer less resistance and would probably fix the curving. I hope I can take the pin out of the nub arm again without it losing grip :P. Thanks for the help guys
