What about JG?

Postby Viper45 » Sat Oct 08, 2011 3:33 pm

I've been up and down this site, but I can't fine anything about JG guns. They're not on the list of 'good' companies and there's no posts about them.

Why is this?

My friend who owns a JG says it's one of the best guns he's used. Does anybody else have experience with Jing Gong?

Some of their guns are decent, they're generally lower quality and more cheaply made.

A teammate and friend of mine has a JG. He loves it. It shoots really consistently, and has great range and accuracy. The only problem he has had so far was the piston head stripping just enough that the gears weren't touching. All he had to do was buy a new part and we installed and it's run great since. It's a little weighty but that was just the style he got.

I have 2 JG 416's. I think they're great AEG's. They shoot about 400fps out of the box. The only things I changed was the barrel, hop-up nub and bucking.

Yup JG's are decent. They can be made into great things if you're willing to drop a few dollars into a new barrel and rubber. Also they don't come shimmed very well stock..

But they really are neat ;) Those 3803 fet boards the enhanced's come with need to be babied or switched to a 3034 however..

Thats the biggest problem I had with mine. It was useful, but it had this TINY wire that broke off much too easily.

I've had the "s" system for over a year and a half with no problems. It shoots pretty consistent and is good for upgrades.

Despite what some people say JG’s they are great guns, even if left stock. I’ve owned four of them 2 M4s and 2 G36s, and have worked on more than a few dozen. The older JG’s were just; ok (pre 2008). Now with JG’s enhanced gearboxes and stock IRLB3034 MOSFETs they’re seceding the standard for their price range let along some higher end AEG’s as well. IMO much better value than SRC/TSD and G&G and CA sport line.

The enhanced 2010 and newer JG gearboxes feature, Metal tooth piston, ball bearing piston head, 7mm ball bearing gearboxes and Metal springs. The standard JGs are shooting 350-370 FPS out of the box (depending on the type of the gun) and the enhanced versions are coming in at 390-440 FPS ( ) (depending on the type of the gun). both the enhanced and normal JG guns come with good compression but I’ll agree with the above mentioned “replace the barrel, hop-up nub and bucking”, as JG’s are pretty inaccurate out of the box.

The blue “M-42” High power motor that come stock, which give JG’s the highest ROF (Rate Of Fire) out of the box for mid priced AEGs. The blue “M-42” features very strong magnets although not as strong as the SRC high torque but the JG M-42 produces a higher ROF. I haven’t been able to compare the red “m-93” ultra high torque motor but according to this video and by playing it through Audacity the red “m-93” and blue “M-42” motors are both 20 RPS (rounds per second) with the battery he is using although I want to test this for myself to confirm. ;)

I’ve owned many sets of JG gears both the standard set (M-58 ) and the enhanced (M-87, with internal bearing on the bevel gear and built-in sector gear chip). Both sets of these gears I’ve tested to at least 180,000 rounds at 370FPS @ 35 RPS and 390 PFS @ 25 RPS. Not only are these gears quite (I hate noisy gears!) but they can be had for around $15-$25 a set on ebay! Certainly JG gears don’t last as long as ICS or VFC gears (both of which I’ve tested to 200,000 rounds (VFC gears I’m still testing and are at 280,000 and still counting!! ) at 25+ RPS @ 370 FPS and above) but they certainly last longer than many other brands in their price range and for how much they cost, it’s a bargain!

Nope it's a 3803. I wish it was the 3034

 The M-42 is the SLOWEST motor on the market delivering the highest torque out of anything anywhere. Nothing can even compare to it. The red M93 or M96 are clones of the magnum and give considerable more RPM's but less torque. M-42 is more of a DMR motor ;)

I Just saw a JG AUG A3 at a game a few weekends ago, the owner let me take off the cover and look at the Chip, It was a IRLB3034. Next time I see one, I'll take a picture.

The M-42 is indeed faster than the stock motors of Dboys, SRC, and CYMA and that's what I'm comparing it too. As for M-93 vs M-42, Like I said above according to this video comparison and playing it through audacity the red (M-93) and blue (M-42) motors were exactly the same ROF, at 20 RPS. This is the only source I can find, unless you have another source or 1st hand experience.

BTW, The video I posted in previous post was the wrong video. I have edited it.

I do have first hand ;) The M42 gives AMAZING trigger response.. Not so much speed however.. The M96/93 give comparable ROF to the magnum.

And yes you're right, but only the enhanced come's with the M42's I think

About the AUG: I actually just noticed that I was wrong  . It's an IRF1404 ;) The owner of Extreme-Fire (the fet) confirmed this too

I've had less problems running high-caps through my old JG's "noobsofting" than I have had with my ICS running midcaps in short bursts.

Outstanding replicas, would definitely watch again.

I have been using the IKA ZUCHI as my loaner gun. The thing runs like a champ. Great for the price.
