Hey guys. Got to test out my m14 at The Horde. Wow, that bucking made a HUGE difference. It's still not entirely aligned but it was close enough for the game. When I pull apart my gun again I will get it properly aligned.
Anyways, the next step for me is getting a new barrel and spring. I went from 380 fps at fallout to 320 fps at rez IV to 265 fps at The Horde. Although it chronoed so low, it still had good range and the guys I nailed said it hurt like a phony pony. Could it of just been the chrono? Also, what spring should I get to hit 400? I'm looking at a m120, but I got recommended a m130 and I'm not sure if that would push me over 400fps. I also heard brand doesn't matter because of the simple construction of the spring.
The other thing is the barrel. Although the inner barrel is an nonstandard length of 520mm, how much difference would the 11mm make if I were to get a 509mm barrel? would it help to get an even longer barrel? Also, what brand of barrel should I get? From reading around I've heard that promethius and PDI are the way to go, but I would love a second opinion.
As always thanks for answering my barrage of questions
