So are you saying we can or can't use our own guns in the off chance we feel like going on a day other then Tuesday and Thursday?

You cannot use your guns during regular weekday/weekend scheduling. Tuesdays and Thursdays are the only days you can bring in your own pew-pews. I think two days a week solely for hobbyists is generous, considering this is a business and they stand to loose revenue by not charging for gun rentals and ammo on the T-days.

No matter how hard you try to please everyone. Someone somewhere will have a problem with something.

I have to pay for a rental? You're joking right? Please tell me you're joking..

You stand to lose more business by keeping the people who are more serious in the hobby who will be your constant return customers away, by charging them rental fees to use guns that aren't their own. My gun is set up the way I like it. I don't want to not use what I have spent money on.

What rental guns are you using? Stock JG's or G&G CM's?

I agree with Minerva. My gun is finely tune to me. What happens if the rental we use breaks on the field are we responsable for it even if the gun is use hundred times a day, and everybody here knows that sometimes we have to by new parts because they do where down. Truefully I rather take respoablity for my gun over yours any day

I am not joking. But if this is a concern for most of the AP folks, that is something we can address with the owners the day of the trials. Everything (and i mean everything) is subject to change depending on the input Nora and Wade decide to use.

They are using all-metal AGMs, if I recall correctly. I think they are sweet looking: http://www.airsplat.com/Items/ERM-AGM-M4-036.htm

I've been to OA and seen how many parent throw down money for them to rent and they gladly pay it to get rid of the kids for a few hours. Its a model that works and the people who have super 1337 equipment will dry up quick and disappear as it is. The business model works for paintball. In the end they have to be realistic and go to where the money is, I've seen a lot of people come and go on AP and people flake because they don't have a ride, money etc. Parents always have money and transportation and the birthday party crowd is a built in revenue maker. The schedule seems to be a good compromise.
People complained about various things at The Farm who tried to cater to the AP community and look where they are now..

On a personal note, rather than seeing the fee structure as x dollars gets you on the field, ammo, and a rental, I'd prefer to see it as x dollars gets you on the field and ammo, and if you don't have your own kit, you are welcome to use ours, with the caveat that if you break it, you buy it.

The cost stays exactly the same whether you are using your gear or rental gear, but you get to use gear that is already zeroed to you and is set up in a way that you are familiar with.

Rental guns only is a pretty major turn-off for me.

Plus, "rental guns only" cuts down on the ability to have a pro shop at the facility later on. If you can't use the toy you buy there, why buy it there?
