SR25

Postby BlackXMamba » Sun Nov 27, 2011 6:57 pm

Hello fellow airsofters, so i purchased a used A&K SR25 from classifields that came with the following upgrades

Madbull Ultimate hop up
blue madbull bucking
madbull 650 6.03 tightbore
e1 h nub
systema psg1 170% spring

I dont know much about internals but what additional stuff can i buy to upgrade this even more to make it more of a sniper?

Thanks!

Well, you need skin, a heart, organs, a brain, eyes, nose, mouth, ears....

Oh, you mean sniper *rifle*? ;)

The list of goodies here is a good start. But more important than a bunch more upgrades, is some time on the range learning the characteristics of your weapon.

And for the record...I would not throw the sniper title around too loosely here...the community in general is pretty fussy about who is...and who is not... a sniper. Most of our recognized snipers are rolling bolts.

An SR25 would more likely be used by a DM (Designated Marksman) rather than a full ghillied-tucked-in-the-pucker-brush-for-days-honest-to-gosh-aunt-bea-sniper.

If I were to add to your list...it would be an optic. Not because you really need one in air-soft (except for actual recon) but because you might as well make the load-out look authentic.

My .02 and I'll hop off my soapbox. The bottom line in airsoft...do what makes you smile! 8)

You can add a fet and some nice wiring to decrease trigger response. You can also replace the motor with a HT motor like an SHS

Increase?

And I agree with the above, with the addition of a 9.6v battery.

The stock A&K motor is pretty beasty. It was pulling an M140 stock. It's the only motor I've seen that would hold a midcap to the grip with how strong the magnets are.

Damn, whats the point of a 11.1v Lipo when your going to be firing in semi auto most of the time?

Rip out the internals and install a fusion engine.

It's funny because there isn't much of an advantage, and they don't work in A&K/CA style SR25's, only G&Gs.
