Echo 1 MP5 Stutter Fire?

Postby Hitokiri1597 » Wed Jan 04, 2012 5:38 pm

Hey guys I've got a couple MP5s here that take multiple trigger pulls when on semi to complete a cycle but work fine on auto, any ideas why this is happening? When I get into the gearbox I cant find anything wrong that I can see and I've tried googling/searching with no results.

Look at your selector plate, or your cutoff lever closely.

Replaced both parts with no change.

When they fire on auto do they shoot as normal? Specifically is the rate of fire and sound normal?

try cycling the box by hand with it open to see what is catching.
try running it put together without a spring & stuff in it to see if it cycles.

has to be something with the cut off lever. That's what makes it go semi auto. Look under the spur gear and see if the tab is worn, broken, or gone. Maybe it's shimmed too high also.

Also stretch out the spring for the selector switch a little, gives it more tension to push the cutoff lever into the correct position.
