Brits using Multicam?

Postby Archangel 06 » Sat Feb 11, 2012 12:42 pm

Just saw this video on BBC, and it looks like all the British troops they are interviewing are using Multicam - is this a new development, or something they've been doing in Afghanistan for a while now?

It is common knowledge.

They've been using it for quite some time now (close to 2 years). It's not Multicam, but Multi Terrain Pattern (MTP).

They're possibly Multi-Terrain Pattern, which is DPM using MultiCam colors, but at ~1:40 the British guy mentions "the Yanks having all the right equipment for us to build our friendship back up" so maybe the US gave them uniforms for the exercise.

We use MTP and MC more or less interchangeably. It can be hard to tell one from the other unless you see them side by side.

So quite possibly with FSB Alpha also using it, next time Georgia and Russia decide to put their war faces on there might be a few friendly fire incidents...

I've seen plenty of people refer to the American military as "we" and "us" without someone commenting about it...

True, but I haven't served, I never say "we", and I don't read/post much on AP so I haven't caught them or I would have let them have it...j/k But I think everyone misunderstood my post/question, go figure.
