I guess you could say that... But I don't agree, but that's not the current topic.

The fact that he is looking at reproduction gear suggests to me that he cannot afford to spend 300 bucks on real Crye crap, but still wishes to create an accurate representation of a real military loadout. If you think an individual must spend thousands upon thousands of dollars to meet your standards of what constitutes "military simulation" then that is your perogative. Pardon me for providing useful, first-hand, knowledgeable advice that contributes to the topic.

Yeah, it comes down to budget quite honestly. My budget is ~$65 or so.

I really like both the JPC and LBT. It sounds like bothwould fit me ok, but the the JPC maybe better as it's meant to carry sz small plates?

It uses size medium plates, which are included. It is very compact and adjustable and I'm sure you'd have no problem fitting it, even with medium plates.

The Scalable Plate Carrier from Eagle comes in X-small. They pop up on ebay from time to time. You can only get it in Coyote Brown (not a big deal, unless you don't like CB. It has sewn in soft armor.

There's also the Paraclete Hard Plate Carrier. It's a small rig similar to the JPC. I'm pretty sure you can get a clone of it for cheap, but I haven't looked into that.

Wow, I have never once heard in my 12 years of airsoft that for "regular milsim" you can't have any replica gear.
That's bleeding hilarious. Considering we use replica guns and optics(for the most part), very hilarious, indeed.

Alright, so, a quick ebay search yielded this...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... ink:top:en

While not exactly high end, it looks like it'd look the part. I don't suspect quality is the highest though. Concerns me that there is no brand listed.

JPC's can't be found on eBay apparently..

Alright, yeah, I don't want to spend a fortune on a MAYBE. I'd rather buy the replica, test it, then buy the real one when I can if I like it.

If I wanted to go the über cheap route, are MBSS style vests used by anyone in the military?

To answer " "'s question, I'm going for a Navy SEAL loadout lightly. Or US Army Rangers. Special forces of the U.S. pretty much.

If you end up going the replica route (TMC 6094 on ebairsoft) and need it reinforced with better stitching..etc. Reach me and we can talk about it. I did somebody's TMC MOLLE belt (EI PMB replica) and all it needed was some good reinforcement with T65 thread. It's not bad at all and the tan color actually looks close to MJK. Anyway..let me know. I'll keep the price reasonable for you to help you out, young sir.

I'm liking the Emerson JPC, can be bought locally, and it seems to be of OK quality. Unless there's a reason I shouldn't, thinking I may go ahead with that path for now?

Feel free. I've tried on the JPC at AONW, and it's pretty nice. I wouldn't trust those replica FAST-mag hard pouches for long- They seem, flimsy. But yes, it's a pretty cool PC, and I don't see why you shouldn't get one.

We all start somewhere. ;)

My first PC was a simple Pantac Chest Rig- Worked like a charm. Sold it- Now I'm even happier with the results of that.

Call the surgeons and tell them to take the day off, because I'll be doing all the operating now.

I currently run a PACA w/ BLACKHAWK! CRCH. But in the summer, the PACA won't be too appealing to have on. JPC is meant to go over my ACS without needing to have something to cover my back and sides, without sealing my chest to overheat.

Same with the Emerson brand JPC replica...if you need it to be reinforced, let me know.

Cheers.

The JPC doesn't really have side protection..

Butthurt, much? I never said he needed to get a real one, I said the clones probably aren't a dedicated size small.
