JG MP5 isn't a bad choice either. Jester ran the tits off his and it never quit on him.

Combat Machine, I ran a lipo in mine and it was fine.

Now, I wonder what happened to it now?

But I can agree, G&G Combat machines. Their bodies are polymer, and mine ran solid for almost a year. Then it began suffering from slight compression issues. some plumber's tape fixed that up nicely, along with a new nozzle. I went ahead and replaced the bushings and spring too.

The mag well is a little large, but I just put some tape on the mag well to help magazines feed.

I recommend the CYMA. My Girlfriend got one as her first Airsoft gun and after 6 months she sold it to another member of our team and he has been using it for a long time now. One bit of warning though, DO NOT OPEN THE GEARBOX, and if at all possible dont take the gun apart at all until something breaks or else you will start having more problems than you can count.

Hello fellows. Sorry, I didn't realize this thread was still being posted in, I figured it was long lost in the archive by now.

We bought a couple CYMA AKs and they are running great, the plastic is kinda cheap but it's nothing to worry about. They have literally payed for themselves at $10 a full day of airsoft per airsofter that uses them, and both guns are generally rented out every war.

JG's G36c are good? I've heard that too. I was debating about getting this gun for myself:

http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=38939

I myself am I very poor 15 year old looking for a job... I'ma shell out $250 bucks for my next G&G, but that's not what I'm asking.

Should that G36 be good? I've heard great things about it, and that people have ran up to HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of shots with minor issues. It will be running a 7.4v LiPo, and when I get some money ahead so I can afford to accidentily ruin a gun, I'm going to toss an 11.1v LiPo. Yes I'm getting basic accuracy upgrades. (6.03 madbull M4 barrel, barrel extension, new bucking, h-nub). I just wanna know how reliable it is, because I don't really want to crack open the gearbox anytime soon.

Something else which is a very good choice for a starter gun is the Lancer Tactical MK18: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... s_id=10143

I think Matrix rebrands JG or Aftermath, which rebrands JG. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM EVIKE.

It shoots pretty darn close to 400 FPS out of the box and they (ASGI) did a stress test on the gearbox and on the externals, it took a beating to say the least.

As for a cheap G36C, I'd get the JG.

Long barrel: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=4623

Short barrel: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=2109

The long barrel shoots kinda slow for what you're thinking about so you'd have to get into the gearbox at some point in the near future, but it would save you the time and money of getting the longer inner barrel and barrel extension.

I'm just weary of guns THAT cheap, and what's wrong with Evike?

"Internally, the Lancer Tactical M4 CQBR MK18 AEG is even more impressive. The standard version 2 gearbox features a full metal construction, with metal bushings and an innovative metal sector gear clip to ensure that the gun cycles correctly. It also comes standard with a ball bearing spring guide to reduce the tension on the spring as it cycles. The lightweight polymer piston features pre-corrected angle of engagement. The piston head is ported, and a one-piece hop up unit all matches together perfectly with the gearbox to ensure that the Lancer Tactical M4 CQBR MK18 fires as smoothly and reliably as possible."

Is that really true or are they blowing smoke up our arses? I figured that stuff was unheard of in a $100 AEG, how can it be that good with such low cost?

Let me google that for you... http://lmgtfy.com/?q=evike+horror+stories

Like I said they did the internal stress test, which I believe was 30,000 on a LiPo. It looked like crap when they opened it up, but it still functioned fine. Aside from that they basically dropped/threw/hit it against stuff a bunch of times for the external test and it survived without major damage.

They were just as mind blown as you are right now when they heard about it. They've had some of their employees field it a couple times and they say that it worked great.

I see where you're coming from though, it's $100 gun, it's all plastic, etc etc. Most $100 guns are crap. But if you look at Lancer Tactical's other stuff, like their GLs and FALs, they make pretty good stuff.

Every store I've ordered from has bad reviews, but with good reviews too. Airsplat sells broken guns, airsoftgi has terrible customer service, evike has terrible customer service according to complaints I've heard. I think I'm going to still order off Evike, mostly because the G36 is a custom and alreadr internally upgraded, that and it's not a boring flat black like 90% of the guns on the market. I'll trust them for now but if it's unsatisfactory I'll let you rub it in my face.

The lancer tactical is going to be my next gun, but I'm upgrading the metal bushing and downgrading the spring...Perhaps the first gun I will modify internally.

The stress test however was only about 8,000 shots on 10.8v. I normally run 9.6's anyway.

Do what you want, but just for the record someone here on AP ordered a JG BAR10 and got the WELL version...

I'm not worried about it breaking soon, but I would definitely upgrade the bushings. After that you can just replace things as they break.

EDIT: ASGI's walk-in store customer service is awesome, aside from the fact that they have a waiting list.

Yeah, Im not judging your input though. The thing is, this G36 is pretty unique, so if they mess up this order I'm going to flip and cross Evike off my "do order" list until I get some decent proof that they have been improving. That and if I have any problem whatsoever I'm going to call and complain until my package is shipped, I'm not nice when it comes to paying 200 dollars for goods and getting terrible service, it's just that this gun is unique and I love unique guns, even if all it is is a re-branded JG with metal bushing.

Thanks though, btw. You made my next gun purchase, deffinetely getting that Lancer Tactical after this G36, and I'm going to order from GI so I can stock up on their "Trifecta" savings. :D AirsoftGI I like way more then Evike, but they don't have this gun. :\

Glad I could help. Speaking of unique guns, here's a pretty cool one: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... s_id=10988

It's basically a G36C with an M4 magwell and an SL8 stock. I love how it looks. It'll probably be the next gun I get after I'm done with my GR15, which'll be a long while.
