Suggestions for upgrading my M4's aesthetics.

Postby EnarahRovaaniik » Sun Sep 09, 2012 3:23 pm

Okay, I've had a plain old G&G Combat machine for years, nothing has ever been done to it. I want you guys to give me suggestions for some good hardware to make my M4 LOOK better. Maybe some Magpul on it, I dunno. Any reccomendations?

A m4 is extremely versatile, almost any rail system will fit it, with a rail system any grip, light, laser, peq, rail covers, or anything else will fit if it's made for 20mm picanty, any HOLO sight or red dot, scope or whatever will fit, personaly i like the mk18 style look with the dark earth rail system with tons of nice acesories but you might want a magpul look, it's up to you.

I want a very unique look, such as mixing Daniel Defense with Magpul. I know the M4 is very versatile, I just pretty much want recommendations, like if I should get the Madbull Ace SOCOM stock or the Magpul MOE stock, a Magpul AFG or the RVG. Just want to hear people's opinions on certain accessories. Also, does anyone suggest this: http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?c ... s_id=26697 I've wanted one for quite a while. Also, does anyone like the Bravo EOtech clones?

Replace your M4 with something that actually looks unique, unlike the M4 which EVERYBODY EVERYWHERE HAS, and always looks like an M4 pretty much whatever you do to it?

Throwing crap onto your rails willy-nilly won't make it look good. Think about your play style, what YOU want your gun to do, and then go from there. The reason real guns used by real professionals carry their modifications well is because they equip their weapons with what they need to make it work for them and nothing they don't. Beauty in simplicity; a practical rifle is a pretty rifle.

Go to an airsoft shop and bring your rifle with you. Look through some optics, try some different grips and stocks. Often, you will find that when it comes to kitting out your rifle, less is more.

Just be aware that Daniel Defense and Magpul are to firearms what D&G And Louis Vuitton are to clothiers; fancy to be sure, desirable as brands of status, easy to wear tastelessly, arguably overpriced, and not what you wear to be especially unique.

+1 for Androids comment. As long as you know how to properly spray paint your gun, you should be fine. Please, dont be an idiot and not tape anything off.

Duct tape, para-cord, cardboard, spray paint, and other various supplies.

You can then make anything.

Or throw some dead weights like 203's and Elcan replicas.

Personally, all I threw onto my rifle is a DD rail, a flashlight, and an Elcan. Then painted it in various places.

And I plan on painting a subdued Hello Kitty theme in the future.

I'm actually thinking about an AK, a VFC if I can find one in stock >:l
Also, just going to state, I HATE rails, and "Tacticool" crap. My play style is simple, don't need a 400 dollar Surefire, with a PEQ box and some other various, over-priced, you pay-for-the-name, bull crap.

May I interest you in a variant or derivative? How about turning it into a pistol-caliber AR? Class that phony pony up with some wood*? AR's are known as "Barbie Rifles" because you can dress it up however you want. Knock yourself out.

*No guarantee that this will fit; may need modification to make this fit with AEG's.

Sometimes finding some uniqueness is just learning what everyone else has, and try to stray from it a little bit.

I'm not saying that she's very unique, but this is my baby right now:

I just haven't seen a gun quite like it yet.

Remember, there's a plethora of rails on M4s, so add some rail covers, a cool RDS, an AFG1, and maybe a flashlight or laser.

Custom paint job, +1 to the guy who mentioned it. I'm going to add some decals on my gun soon.

Also, don't be afraid to go an extra step into some things. A cool flash hider

can make your gun another +1 to other players and yourself.

Hell, get a grenade launcher if you like the look. Theres almost no limit to what you can change on your

On topic: I've always liked the look of the EOTech 552, myself. It's bulkier than it's cousins, but it takes AA's (available everywhere) and it just looks nice.

Slightly off-topic: "Uniqueness" does not come in degrees. It is a boolean variable. Either you are unique (there is only one of you) or you aren't. The same is true of your rifle. Something cannot be "very unique," or, "not very unique."
