kwa m9 ptp feeding issues

Postby newboots » Sun Nov 17, 2013 9:40 pm

I have a problem with my kwa m9 it wont load a bb into the barrel. I know it fires because I have put a round in the barrel and it fired I have 2 mags and neither of them work so I have a feeling it's just the gun does anyone know what parts are broken or what I need to do to fix it?

Use a new tank of gas. Low gas pressure can cause a short stroke.

Or your loading nozzle/gas cylinder is cracked. Does the slide cycle at all or stay still.

That or your feed ramp might be damaged (highly unlikely though). Take a look at the cylinder with the slide locked back. If the BB pusher thingy (arm sticking off the bottom of the cylinder) is worn or damaged, it'll cause failure to feeds.

Then I'd suggest replacing that part. Getting the inner assembly out is rather easy. When replacing the cylinder, be sure to remove the rocket valve from the old one (99% of cylinders bought aftermarket don't include that part).

While you have the rocket valve out, if you drop a #5 o-ring or an o-ring of similar size (9/16 in. OD x 7/16 in. ID 1/16 in. wall thickness)on top of the inner face of the rocket valve, you should get some better gas efficiency too.

I would assume this works on the M9, I know it works on most other KWA guns.
