Morgan, I was not disputing the citronella product. I was simply interjecting that we (the US) DO care about our Philippino brothers.

We care that when you hit them once in the chest with a .45 they go down and stay down.

Kendo's right--a WHOLE lotta GIs found out that a revolver shooting .38 rounds was no match for a nekkid tribesman weilding a machete while all hopped up on opium and shaman-dick-shakes .

In the philippines they had these super cheap awesome rubber citranella wristbands that lasted 3 days

They probably have more in them than cintranella. Which is why you can't find them here.

While I was stationed in GA the Marine support attachment had this bug repelant that was awesome...

so awesome that you couldn't wear it for more than 12 hours at a time without washing it off... (came with a big warning on the label to ensure you washed it off).

The stuff worked great against skeeters and sand gnats, but I hate to find out what was actually in it.
