SAFETY NOTICE: Please be advised that we are participating in an active sport in July. Temperatures can reach 90+ degrees. Dressing to the weather and hydration is key to having a great weekend.

We will have a map on the field, but no copies to hand out. Please provide your own, or take a picture of the map with your phone.
REGISTRATION / ARRIVAL
We will have a driveway admission booth, participants will be given a wristband while in their vehicle. (Please have funds ready from all persons in your vehicle, to ensure this flows quickly and smoothly). After getting your wristband, please put it on. Your wristband is required to chrono. You will be turned away at chrono if you do not have your wristband on.

EVENT DETAILS
Vendor and Swap-meet area will be open all day (players can also display items for sale/trade at their campsites). Available spots for setting up your area are first come first serve (sponsors have priority spots). You provide your own tables. Electricity is not available. Be aware that the bulk of the buying and selling occurs on Saturday.
There are no camo or magazine restrictions for these games, with the exception of players may NOT wear brightly colored clothing or red. Wearing red or bright colors can create confusion as to who is an admin and not in play vs a player. Armbands will be used to differentiate teams. See the schedule for details on when games start. Game schedules will NOT be provided to players. We will have large posters available for you to check what’s going on. Please take a picture of it for quick reference. Be ready to play BEFORE event start times! Games will start at the time listed, not when you show up!
FOR TEAMS
As a local team, we welcome you to setup your own booth/area for recruiting or showing off your team to other players out there. It's our goal to attract a lot of new and first-time players at this event, so it should be a great environment to recruit new blood for your team. Bring your A-game! Space for team booths is not reserved, and is on a first come, first served basis.
FOR RETAIL VENDORS
Retail vendors will be allowed to setup at the Summer Slaughter 12, but are required to offer a donation of an Airsoft item or items to give away in our drawing. Gift certificates are also welcome. We love giving stuff away to the players, help us do this! Please contact SPECDET1 to make arrangements if you are a retail vendor.
Notes
There is a dumpster on site. Please police your campsite and throw your trash away on your way out.
Entry fees are cash only and the majority of buying/selling is done with cash. Some vendors offer Paypal or Square, but having cash on hand is the best route!
Oregon Airsoft Arena and Thunder Kiss NW will both have HPA fill stations on site. Please contact them directly for more information
There is limited access to power onsite, please bring what you need to charge your batteries/phones/etc with you
There is no running water on site. Bring what you need for the weekend. Plan on at least 1 gallon per person per day just for drinking, and not including hygiene needs
We have a known distance range close to the field. This is a great chance to see how far your gun shoots and dial in your optic! Ask an admin where the known distance range is located
In addition to your regular camping supplies such as sleeping bag, tent, stove, we highly suggest you bring sunscreen and bug spray.
There will be a food vendor on site Saturday, but none available Friday or Sunday.

SAFETY INFORMATION: PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS! THANKS A BUNCH!

Eye protection must be worn at all times on the field. At no time are they to be removed while in the play area. Should someone be observed with no eye protection on, BLIND MAN should be called and echoed by all players, and the game stopped until the person has eye pro, or is escorted off the field. Admins should be notified immediately if BLIND MAN is called and the location of the incident. Stay in place until GAME ON is called.

Face protection must be worn at all times for everyone on the field, even if you are not playing. Face protection must be hard, such as a paintball mask, mesh mask, etc.Players without proper face protection will be sent off the field until they have proper face protection.
Should a medical emergency occur on the field, game play should be stopped and admins contacted immediately. BLIND MAN is a good way to stop play in this type of situation. A medical plan is in place with the admins, and admins will provide care/extraction from the field. Stay in place until GAME ON is called.
We are playing airsoft in the woods. There is stinging nettle, blackberries and other unpleasant plants. Please be aware of what is around you.

If police enter the field: all replicas MUST be placed on the ground and ALL players must be at least 20 feet away from them. Admins will address the situation.
A hit is considered a BB impact on you, or your gear (excluding your gun). When you are hit, call out HIT as loudly as you can. Yelling hit as loudly as you can helps prevent you from being shot more. When you are hit, pull out your red death rag and wave it, then place it on your head.
Dead men do not talk! If you’re dead, then head back to respawn. Telling your team where a player was that killed you is just as bad as not calling your hits.
Minimum engagement distance, or MED is based on your FPS. Distances less than that are recommended calling SAFETY KILL, or switching to low velocity sidearm. Intentionally shooting someone in the face/head from within your MED may be grounds for dismissal from the event without refund. MEDs are based on your FPS, NOT your weapon platform. Your MED may be different from other player’s MED. If you are concerned about a player shooting inside their MED, please contact an admin.

All HPA replicas capable of shoot full auto, must shoot under 400 FPS. HPA replicas firing semi auto only or are bolt action are not affected by this.

FPS
350<= point blank-FULL AUTO
351- 420 = 25 feet-FULL AUTO
421 - 475 = 50 feet-SEMI AUTO ONLY
476 - 550 = 75 feet-BOLT ACTION ONLY
If you are unsure of how far that is, there is a handy guide by the chrono station. Please note your FPS when you chrono, it is YOUR duty to remember, not the admins. The admins will tell you what your MED is. If you have a lot of guns, bring a piece of paper to write it down. You may be quizzed on your MED.

Safety Kills: NOT MANDATORY UNLESS THEY ARE WITHIN YOUR MED! However if the person has you dead to rights, they should be able to shoot you (and most likely will) if you try to challenge it. If you can shoot them first, it wasn’t a true safety kill. Remember that the end all be all is the impact of a BB on a person.
Ricochets do not count. You and your gear must be directly hit by a BB to count. Gun hits DO NOT count.
Grenades must expel BB’s to count as lethal. Only BB hits count as killing a player. Thunder B’s without BB’s inside just make noise. Noise doesn’t kill.
Only man-made cut outs may be shot through. There are very small gaps in some of the structures where you could shoot out of them. Shooting between these very narrow gaps IS NOT ALLOWED. Blind firing is against the rules and may result in you being removed from the field. If you can not look down your sights to see your target, you are blind firing.
Any disagreement between players should be forwarded up to an admin for final ruling. This game is for fun. Fighting will result in expulsion from the event without a refund.
Feet are to remain on the ground at all times. There are some structures that have a second level, and access to these areas is NOT ALLOWED.
Do not shoot into other players spawns. If you are too close to a spawn location, back up or move to a new location so you are not shooting spawning players.
Please look at the game time table and be on the field ready to play BEFORE the start of the time block. Gather at the tent by the village ready to play before the start of the time block ensures you get the most trigger time in.

Do not litter! There are trash bags located at your spawns to dispose of trash. Do not throw empty CO2 caplets (or any other trash) on the ground. Hold on to them and dispose of them properly. Keeping the field clean keeps the owner happy which lets us keep using the field.

No pyrotechnic devices of any kind are allowed. Also, only smoke on gravel areas and police your butts once you are finished.

Lost and found items should be handed to an admin, with an approximate location of where they were found. Please contact any admin if you have lost items, as well as checking at the end of the day. We will have a clear tote located at the tent by the village for lost and found items. Check this tote to see if your missing items get turned in. Please also try contacting SPECDET1 VIA Facebook after the event to see if your lost item gets turned in.

By camping at Summer Slaughter, you agree to the following rules:
Quiet time starts at 11pm
Respect your neighbors space and property
No illegal drug use
No unlawful alcohol use
No campfires in the orchard (propane grills are okay)
No touching, attaching or cutting anything from or to the trees
You will clean up your campsite of ALL trash (including bottle caps and cigarette butts) before leaving the property. A dumpster at the entrance is available to get rid of all your waste.
If you see someone failing to adhere to these rules, you will notify a member of SPECDET as soon as possible.
Failure to abide by these rules are grounds for immediate ejection from Summer Slaughter with no refund and the potential of a lifetime ban from all SPECDET events, regardless of where the event is held.

We don't usually post a schedule up. The times generally remain the same but because player count is a factor when it comes to creating a successful event we tend to need some flexibility when it comes to what specific games we play when.
That being said General Time line is:

Friday gates open at 4PM
Games are 6PM-10PM

Saturday Gates open at 8AM
Games 10:30-12:30
Lunch & Raffle 12:45-1:45
Games 2-4
Break 4-5
Games 5-7
Break 7-8
Night Games 8:30-11

Sunday Gates open at 8AM
Games 10-2
Break Camp 2-3:30
4:00 Hard Out

Does that help or were you looking for ome other information?

Great event guys. Lots of positive players with great sportsmanship out on the field Saturday. I only had 1 issue with a dishonorable player and that was reported and handled swiftly.

My definite highlight was rolling up in the night game, going into an area controlled by the enemy team, and quietly walking up and saying "Safety kill," with my Glock pressed gently to their shoulder. The last kill I had in that rush, I had a guy dead to rights in a building but with my night vision camera mounted to my M4, I had a hard time getting my aim on him with my sidearm. He said, "Dude if you're the enemy just say it." Me: "Yeah bro, safety kill. I've got you dead to rights." We exchanged fight bumps and he walked back to spawn. I was shot in the a$$ by my own team 30 seconds later. Well worth the price of admission if that was the only part of the day I played.
