It's not illegal to have a suppressor on an AEG.

Wait your in MS... I thought you were in Oregon. Check your local laws.

If there isn't a law on the books then it's legal!

I am unaware of any US Federal law restricting the use of suppressors on AEGs.

Evike says "NOTE: Unregistered silencer is totally illegal in US. Be careful. Please don't use any kind of silencer even it is designed for toy. " This is a quote from there Halo supressor.

But he's in MS. That's what counts. This might be the wrong forum for that sort of thing...

It has to do with the gray area where airsoft replicas are technically classified as firearms because they expel a projectile by compressed air. So says Oregon Law. So, with a device designed to 'silence', a 'firearm' you get into that question.

Houston we have a problem!
If I read the ATF ruling correctly - almost any airsoft suppressor may qualify as a silencer or muffler by ATF standards, since it can be removed and used on other guns and possibly adapted to "real steel" guns. Oh boy here we go again!
To Conserve the Fighting Force
Why airsoft? if the bullets were real, we'd run out of players!
On the 8th day we went to war

An airsoft supressor is a replica that does not actually silence the weapon...and it would probably be cheaper to buy an actual silencer
