Wire Mesh Goggles

Great research that is going on.

In the past 2 years I have witnessed 2 pairs of mesh goggles fail. The mesh did not fail but the goggles did. The mesh broke loose from the goggle letting the BB hit the wearers face. Because the mesh did not fail it just was pushed back against the wearers face the eyes were still protected but the wearer took a nasty hit to the area just under his eyes.

I personally look at it as a chance I will not take. Spend 100-150 dollars and pick up a pair of ESS turbofan goggles (or use Laptop fans and mount them to your goggles) and you will never have another fog problem.

I've heard the Dawn method is very reliable.

The Wiley X SG-1s are the living embodiment of Goggle/Sunglass Sexy. I am getting a pair for motorcycle riding as soon as I find out how my insurance company handles the Prescription lens thing.

Soap, couple drops of baby oil, and water.

Mix it up
Fill a spray bottle and wipe dry with a lens cloth
Works usually all day.

Ghettotech!
AK-47 or bust.

Even dish detergent will work.....I have seen some cheap BBs turn into shrapnel, especially the 12grams.

There is another alternative, which I have: Punched aluminum goggles. Like mesh, obviously they don't fog, but they are stronger than regular mesh since they are made of a solid sheet of aluminum that has had holes drilled into it in a "mesh like" pattern. They are very strong. I have worn them in multiple games and never had any problems. My friend took his full scale upgrade TM sniper and shot them at point blank to see how strong they were and they only dimpled a little bit. Hobbytron sells them, complete with rubber face mask, for $13. They are also easy to see through.

I got it, let's all wear DOT approved motorcycle helmets! The fog and cost $100 - $500 a pop, but at least I know my head will be safe from little welts delivered by 14 year olds at point blank range!!!

They also make it in a little spray bottle too. My friends and I use it.

The best place i got a pair of mesh goggles is from skyline NW. hear is the web site i got my goggles from.

http://www.skylinenw.com/shop/shopdispl ... ght+Shield

i e-mailed the co. about airsoft and the FPS and they sad the 20 psi goggles would work fine. ive been hit many times in the goggles and only have min effect and no chipping. as for indoor comps. i havent had any hits but i might go with the 30's, but out of all the goggles out there ive seen, the bugzz have been the the best over any other brand.
