WTB mesh goggles

Postby TOP » Wed Oct 24, 2007 6:54 am

Does anyone have some mesh goggles they want to get rid of? Or if you know somewhere that sells them.

Thanks

speaker mesh and a pair of wiley-X glasses w/removable lenses work wonders. I happen to have a little extra of both. PM me if interested.

I use a very strong mesh. I have shot at it point blank range with a 400fps rifle and it held just fine. It's a chance I am willing to take. I inspect my glasses for weakness before every game. I only use them during outside games. Otherwise it's the ansi rated ones for indoor play.

Renegade brings up a good point tho... one I didn't even think of. It's not the mesh, it's the BB that fragments upon impact. I can see (no pun intended) where that could happen.

Yeah, and it happens more often if people are using bio BB's too. Mithos on OSK was the person I spoke of. His eye is fine but he said it hurt like a phony pony.

However he was wearing plastic glasses not mesh.

BIO bb's breaking could be an issue as their overall strength is not as well as other types of bb's.

Using mesh glasses are diffenately use at your own risk. I have been using a mesh pair since gallant saber 2 and I've had like 2 shots to the eyes in that time. Not one dent. Not one tear and no broken bb's but thats not to say that it cannot happen.

However... if more people started using this:

There would be less of a need for mesh. Best anti-fog solution there is. It really works. Been using that stuff for 3 years with great results.

They are one of sponsors at the BSP outbreak event and one of the raffle prizes is a 100ct box of fogtech wipes and some small boxes as well.

r u sure about that??

I blame no one but myself for that hit. I should have checked the goggles myself instead of trusting them without verifying the rating. My own silly fault. No one else's.
Really, if you want to be fair, I deserved that hit for being an idiot in that respect.
Lesson learned.

sounds like shooting glasses to me... Plus I was told that the goggles had shattered.. Mesh doesn't shatter...

topic moved since we are all breaking the arms deals rules.
