Arena Flakjak Goggles

Postby Khaos » Tue Jan 06, 2009 8:47 pm

So I've been looking at these for quite a while, and I found a pretty good price on them here for $12.95 plus $7.50 shipping. I contacted the site and they said that you can specify tan or black headbands, and that they have them in stock.

Does anyone know of a better price? I've seen them all over, but this is just about the cheapest I can find them.

Mozambik's are better! Same manufacturer.

:)

That twelve dollar price is the best you'll find. They're normally 80 or something.

The twelve dollar prices are because there was a flaw in manufacturing or something that the army wasn't happy with. But they were still completely safe and effective. So you're buying the one's the army didn't want.

I would pick up the Mozambik if they were $20.

I read up on the flaws, and it has something to do with some distortion in the lenses, but it's not noticeable to the naked eye lol.

i guess I'm picking up a pair.

Read the site.

Arena Flakjak Goggles. Multi-purpose goggle with anti-fog & anti-dust technology. Desert Tan Only

They only have tan because they had flaws. The Black and OD, as well as a Coyote color, can be had for about $50 on various other sites (though none that I know of are in stock, or for $80 from the Arena website.

I'm probably going to paint the frames on mine and replace the strap when I can find a cheap replacement, which really shouldn't be too hard. Heck, I could nab a black strap off some old ski goggles. Still a better deal than paying $50 for 'em.

You can request a Black strap when you order...

For legitimate military use goggles, $12 is a great price, regardless of color.

A pair of these are suppose to arrive tomorrow in my mail so i'll tell you how they do. I think im going to go for a jog with them to test fogging.
A three second fuse only lasts two.
