Why? What? FPS?

Airsoft safety discussion. Post here with questions about laws and safety concerns.

On top of that, everyone arguing in here has repeatedly ignored the point that they've participated in exactly what is going to happen the weekend of training any time they've attended an event at Scappoose, Splat Action, Warpaint, Sniperz Den, and any other field that has at least one standing wall. If they really have an issue with it, perhaps it's time for the entire community to drop all guns to 262fps.

Oh wait. No one wants that. (except Alex, you old fascist ;) )

Guys I have an even better idea. Lets all quit airsoft because it's obviously too dangerous for us. I mean we can get hurt!

SERIOUSLY INJURED. PERMANENTLY. AS IN FOREVER.

Seriously, this is the most ass-fucked retarded thread I've seen in years outside of off topic, which is why I'm lurking in it and filling up on haterade.

I'd love to see the probability of getting a serious injury from airsoft while wear proper protection.

.8 Joules = punctures eye ball. That is 262fps. Even at our lowest settings, you can puncture eyeballs.

Yes, Justin, you can prove with numbers that 330fps and 400fps are different numbers. The result is the same. There is no increased danger when even the lowest number produces a pierced eyeball.

By this logic:

A rollover crash at 60mph can kill you, so lets up the speed limit to 150mph. You can die in either situation...

Just because the results may be the same, the likely hood of both instances carrying the same outcome are dramatically reduced at lower velocity.

Another using this logic:
Just because you can swim in a piranha tank with a dead chicken shoved down your shorts, doesn't mean you need throw cows blood in there first.

:D Yes sir, just like up at Hood when I safety killed you, when you were on point. I got wiped out by the squad behind you. I did not light you up because I did not want to hurt you. I was real glad that I had the safety glasses on. The scar is gone now. Ben or pickles did not mean to hurt me and I knew it. I did not get pissed for that reason.

On a side note.. The CQB safty rules are usually for games, that are close quaters only. When playing outside mixed with MOUT we usually use outddor fps rules.

Hah! You can't. I'm invincible. I haven't played in like six months because I got injured.

I'm like DMitri, except I show up to the field THEN don't play.

Five pages of speaking and about 10 actual informative posts.

A thread that could have been useful was turned into a troll fest.
