That's what it boils down to in the end. It's just easier for kids to understand the fact we don't like them rather than trying to explain the world of sue happy soccer moms.

So, would you respect those few "minor" airsofters, that do know what they are doing & that are respectful of the sport, etc?

I believe you should respect minors who are honorable , and responsible. Judging by age is unfair.

My biggest concern with minors is the camping aspect.

We all like to have a few drinks, stumble into a random tent, and hold people down and do things.

With adults, it's a simple crime, but when a child is involved, you have to join teh white supremacists in jail to stay alive. And I am too pretty for all those tattoos.

That's why you keep all the minors in a separate camp.

It's not that easy. Most airsoft fields have fairly small camping areas, or at least they seem small when you pack alot of people in there. I'm going to have to agree with the 16+ with a gun-safety course taken, treating it like hunting seems like a good idea.

That never works out because campsites at events are too small. People do stuff that they don't want minors around for. This is smart thinking on an adults part.

I apologize for the spelling. I just happened to be on my i-touch.

Now i beg upon you; please don't ban this sport for me. I love airsoft, and it is my favorite hobby. It isn't fair i should give it up, because idiots are irresponsible with their replicas.

I love this sport, and i should have the right to play it too.

Also, don't comment on my knowledge of grammar and spelling. I am a great student at my school, and it happens to be none of your business.

I think that would work, but someone said that even with the training they would have to have their parents/guardians with them? I think if they don't have their training and certification card, they should have their parents/guardians with them. But if they have their training and certification card they don't need their parents/guardians.

The parent/guardian need to be there for the legal aspects and also because not all the kids on the field are going to 1) listen to someone they don't know or respect bitchin at the them 2) can enforce the rules of game play an reinforce the safety and "honor" of the game as they were taught in the training.

Once the minor becomes well know enough and can join a team with other responsible adults then I could say the parent/guardian present becomes moot and the team assumes that role for the minor team member.

I completely understand what you are saying, but on the other hand if the age limit is 16, the minor should be able to be mature enough to do all of the above.
