I went M16. (M4 actually.)
I love both types, but there are more upgrades available for the M4.
I prefer the M4 iron sights.
Also, if I were to get an AK, I dislike the "Tactical Black" color, and it would need to have real wood furniture. And real wood kits are too expensive for me right now.

I picked the M16 (Not a M4 but a good ol' M16).

The AK is ugly, but they seem to be durable. *Points at Kendo*

Hoff, one of these days... I'm going to strap five AKs to your limbs until you live to love.

Yeah I didnt like the AK at first, but damn they are so durable, I think that if it is based on Looks or accuracy I would go with the AR, but for an all around better AIRSOFT gun, I would go with an AK, cause it will last you forever...

Can I change my vote to the "hate this thread" option? It wasn't there when I voted.

Though I do own an M16, AK47's are just so sexy and durable (both airsoft and real steel) I couldn't bare to turn away from it. Wood is the way to go.

I can't pick either one. The AK in the real steel world is way more reliable than an AR. But the ARs are more comfortable to use.

I can't pick, both are very good weapons.

id rather use the iron sights than those flimsey things the ak47's have there way more complicated.

Have had my stock TM AK47 for over 3 years, never broken. Ever. (Fallen on, kicked, dropped, cinder-blocked on, smashed, barely cleaned) Still shoots straight as an arrow.

Have had my G&G M4 for over 6 months, have used it once, its had about every part to it break at least once, including the gearbox shell.

Not saying this is common, just shows how I view it ;)

AK has classic style to it too, standard models have not changed much in so many decades.

M16. The shape of the Black Rifle is just so characteristic, and provides a great base for modification.
