Did you want a 11.1 or a 7.4v? because your going to be hard pressed finding a 11.1v smaller than 30mm.
i think this 1800mAh 7.4v should fit.

Nec, I was thinking of going with a 3s (11.1) pack, but the guy that builds my batteries doesn’t have one that fits. I know that RA-Tech one would work, but it is a bit spendy for what it is. With that said, I may just run a 2s (7.4) pack instead, being that the fit will be better, and I can up the capacity a little being that I will have extra room. What are your thoughts on the 7.4 vs. 11.1 in an AEG? I am I going to see much reduced performance, or is it pretty minor?

MiniMarine, I appreciate the info, but I want to run lipo instead of limn. I am sold on lipos over the limn as I run lipos in my RC truck and love them. Plus, I am trying to buy some packs from my battery builder that builds lipo packs, uses great cells, and some good prices and great customer service.

But really, any thoughts on the 7.4 vs. 11.1 debate would really helpful. Thanks guys!

I run both 7.4v and 11.1v li-polys in my guns, I use them for different loadouts. Yes, you will see a huge difference between the two! Most people say "7.4v are like 9.6v NIMH they just lasting longer". Do I belive in this? yes and no, different li-polys give different levels of outputs this depends on many things, one of which being the C rating.

Don't mean to necro-post, but I felt it was important to update this thread just in case someone was looking for this info. Now that I have my AEG, a KWA KM4 RIS (arrived yesterday), the manual with the gun actually lists this on Page 9, under Battery and Installation, #2b:

When using a small Lipo pack battery, place the battery into the stock cover. Push the connector plugs together firmly until they click into place. *Make sure the small Lipo pack battery size is no larger than 4"H x 1.25" x 0.62"D.

Translated into mm, it comes out to dimensions of 101.6mm x 31.75mm x 15.748mm.
