Cons you didn't mention about the AUG are the magazine release, the attachment between stock/receiver and barrel assemblies (it's wobbly and does not help to promote accuracy)
Until I got my RS Type 97, my AUG was the most reliable, accurate replica I owned. It has never wobbled or creaked. The mag release is a bit counter-intuitive but it takes very little work to be on par or better at reloading it than the average airsofter with an AR platform.
I dumped 12 magazines with a full, realistic reload cycle (cycling and slapping the bolt and everything) in a matter of minutes the last time I played at CAGE. Anyone who can't work the mag release has all thumbs on their left finger, or gave up like a little phony pony.
On top of all of that, M4 length body, M16 length barrel. Barrel length is always the deciding factor in the guns I chose to buy.
