Battery bouncing around in stock?

Postby shakespeare » Tue Jan 05, 2010 8:41 am

I'm using a large 8.4 battery in my M16's stock, but it bounces around pretty badly. If I run I can hear it moving. This noise wouldn't be a problem, but the wiring damage is. The whole wiring in the back is getting severely damaged by it. The wiring is exposed at the battery connectors, the wiring on the battery, the wiring surrounding the fuse box, and the fuse box itself is cracked. Is there any way to secure the battery and prevent this?

Line the interior wall of you stock with some cardboard, or something similar which is also fireproof if you're worried.

What's the capacity of your battery?

Anything above 3000mAh should fit rather snugly, maybe a larger battery will have another benefit.

Either way, repair your wires, you don't want them exposed.

Electrical tape is a quick fix, shrink wrap is better, and new wires even better.

It's a 3800 mAH. I'd think it would stay put, but it won't. I can get shrink wrap at a typical hardware store right?

Sweet. That will be a good fix for the wiring then. Thanks everyone!
