Battery charging troubles

Postby Mattman154 » Wed Jan 06, 2010 9:14 pm

Just got my order today, and now I'm trying to charge the battery.

I got a 9.6v 2000mah Nimh battery
Also a Super brain 960 smart charger.

I'm trying to charge the battery, and it seems to be working fine. I used the plug and go type of system, and when I click the display it shows a 0.00 amp charge rate.

Anybody know what's going on?

Since I didn't realize I had to order a large to small connector, I used this instead

Make sure that your clips are on the metal connectors in the tamiya plug. If they fall off you'll get a zero reading.

There should be a way to adjust the charge rate on your charger to higher than 0.00. It might look like it is charging, but if 0 is the charge rate, then it isn't charging. I'll see if I can track down a manual online or something and see if I can figure it out.

Yea it's staying on the connectors because it's showing an updating volt reading, but it's not showing any amps during charge. At the end of the charge it showed an amp reading, but when I tried to use it in the aeg it didn't fire, or do anything at all.
